I know I've ended up at the bottom of the screen when the mission finishes with the lowest xp amount in the mission end screen.

Not true on the subject of "kill-stealing." If someone does 90% of the damage to the enemies, and some guy keeps swooping in and doing the last 10%, who gets more?

Not true. Why? Because the medals you earn add to your overall XP. This is why the more kills you get the better your overall reward is. That is why the more kills the quicker you level up.

500/1000/1500 or 500/1000/2000 EXP. Out of ~140k if you do a full clear on double random on bronze. Add up everyone's medals the next time you play and see what percentage it comes out to in the end. It's nothing to get your jimmies rustled over if you personally don't get a gold sniper rifle medal.

It's better if you can manage a killstreak or two, but it's pretty hard to cluster that many enemies and drop them fast enough without using a missile or a lot of grenades.

The person who did 90% of the damage from what I've experienced. You get what is called an Assist bonus but that depends on how much damage you do to a particular enemy before the enemy dies. As I stated earlier the more kills you get the more medals you get, the more medals you have the more xp you get. It's all relative.

kittstalkur i don't care about getting a gold medal for snipes or what not. if i get a couple of bronze medals i'm happy. but i've been in matches were i've gotten none because people have stolen my kills.

Then you should be getting assist medals. Or revive medals. If you really want medals, play anything with Overload and go for a 200% power bonus.

Hell, I pretty much solo Geth Silver when I'm hosting and playing on my Vanguard, and everyone else seems to at least get 2-4 medals.

I've gotten a couple of revive and assists but more often than not that doesn't happen either. It's because people get in my way and don't allow me to fire off a weapon at an enemy. *shakes head* But thanks for the advice.

Yeah, if guns don't work go with tech or biotics. Overload with the two chain upgrades (or just one chain and the 100% shield/barrier damage bonus) is a great way to help a team and yourself. Bonus if you have someone else triggering tech bursts for you.

I've never had anyone complain about kill stealing on the PC. Ever. Switch platforms and you'll be a much happier person.

I play on PC and I've had only one person get cranky because I 'stole' a kill in round 1. He fired shockwaves at me constantly to teach me a lesson (I apologized but he either didn't hear or was too overcome with rage). Anyway, after I rezzed his sorry butt five times he stopped shockwaving me. He finished last and shame-bolted from the lobby.

 You really want argue with a 800 pound Krogan because he "stole"  your kill.

Well you must have been hiding in a corner then... or fibbing. You would have at least got an assist medal if you was doing something.

I had people KS me tons of times, but I've also KSed a ton of people tons of times. It sort of just happens, I don't let it bug me. I had a case where I decided not to KS someone and the player actually ended up dying, which actually made me wish I had KSed him. Damned if I did, damned if I didn't. I guess that's why they have assists in the game though.

I think it's only really an issue in bronze level games. Once you've got a foothold with some gear and levels, they really just becomes a contest for who can get the most points and awards during the match. In silver and gold, I'm really glad if I get KSed every 5 seconds if it means we pull through.

I steal their kills
They charge in and out of nowhere a mysterious headshot will kill their target just before they get to it, It also happens to people who try to "grab" enemies

The problem with the game is when powers are being used... sometimes they don't go where you aim them... but the "You stole my kill crowd" seem to think that I have some magical ability.

I even got a kill with my "Support Power - Cryoblast" and got accused of killstealing. I was trying to freeze them so it made it easier for the Soldier and Vanguards to smash them... but nooooooo... I'm still trying to kill steal apparently.

So now I just don't care... I will just take the enemy down like in real combat... ie if it's breathing I WILL SHOOT IT (whether it is by bullet, biotics or tech). Trying to let players do it just ends up with the teammate going down 50% of the time anyway.

Ironically it's the players who do the killstealing themselves that moan the most.

You shouldn't be worrying about who gets the kills.. Nobody gets jack if you all die.. If he wants the kills then let him. You all get the same exp and similar amounts of credits at the end anyways. Figuring out ways to funnel the enemy away from your group.. so that you can get more kills is just fail..

Now I don't know about you but in the middle of a firefight ANY ENEMY IS A LEGITIMATE TARGET in my book. If it's alive it's a threat. This kid called "azarale" on the 360 thinks that anything he is shooting at should be his and his alone. In the end I just left because he just wouldn't stop grieving me.

The only thing that really annoys me is when my teammates faithfully kill every combo I set up before I can set off the bomb. It annoys me because I like big booms, but I really appreciate that stuff is dying fast.

I do have one complaint about others playstyles... crowding. I open the gap between me and the rest of my team who are literally up each others... errr... you know.... and shoot enemies who are trying to flank... I then go to dive back into cover when I am being shot and invariably find out that my teammates have blocked my cover or the doorway.

Then there is when I go to shoot something and they move right behind me... THIS IS A THIRD PERSON SHOOTER PEOPLE.... By standing right behind me you are blocking my view (which is my one big hatred for third person shooters). I don't know if people don't think or are doing it on purpose but I would rather people killsteal the targets I am shooting than block my view and crowd me. Drives me NUTS!

I'm fine if you deliver the last hit to an enemy I am shooting at, but it gets annoying if you keep doing it repeatedly and blocking my hits just to steal my kill

You know what else is annoying? When you shooting something and some Krogan runs right in front of your crosshairs trying to get a melee kill.
