When is DA:O going to be unlocked on steam? The timer seems to point to 4 est, I hope that's not right.

I think it unlocks at 12 pst, I'm in florida thats 3 pm here.

I thought it would be just after midnight on release day but ive been told im wrong and its 10am PST.



10AM PST was the time the pre loaded option became available so it might be right.

I find it a little silly that we all have the game sitting on our hard drives but can't play it at midnight (or even right now, though I guess a release date is a release date). Oh well =)

I don't understand why the game will be available tomorrow morning for everyone who bought a physical copy but not until 3pm cst for those who bought from steam. Maybe it will just unlock magically at midnight. That makes the most sense

The timer on Steam says 17 hours from now. My time is 9:15pm so the game should unlock at about 2pm EST.

can't blame valve on this one publishers typically set the time..oh well gives me something to look forward to after work.

10am PST is the unlock time for D2D, Steam is a bit later, the noon PST that everyone else is mentioning.

its the same for europe, it will unlock at around 17:00 uk time, whats up with that? Why not midnight on the 6th of november why do we have to wait for 2/3rds of the 6th of november to pass before it will unlock?

Lucky for me, I come back from work at 4 PM... so when I arrive, the game will be sitting there on my HD, ready for playing. I won't have to while away the last few hours sitting at the screen.

Various possible reasons.  Maybe they want full staff on hand in case anything goes wrong.  With that being time to ensure everything is ready.

Another possible reason is so they don't get a leg up over brick and mortar, who are a major thing digital distributors have to watch out that they don't step on or there will be consequences.

I assume it's because they don't have many people working at midnight. I went through D2D 10am pst gives all their techies time to get in grab some coffee, and stand next to the servers with fire extinguishers incase they explode. But yes, I'm sitting here frowning at my preload wishing I could just finish it now.
