Every time I see a trailer for this movie, I'm just reminded of how gorgeous Rapace is. Gonna be distracted while seeing this movie.

Why do I have a feeling that they're gonna take samples from xenomorphs DNA on the Space Jockey ship and somehow they're going to tamper with it... but great trailer looking foward for this movie :)

I don't know, there were no hints of the xenomorphs anywhere in the trailers. Could be what you say or, could be worse.

Seen the trailer 3 or 4 times by now. Every time I wonder why they didn't just call it "Alien Something-Something" (particularly the scene that looks almost exactly like the classic "finding the eggs" scene). But yeah, I'm definitely going to have to watch this one, and Rapace isn't exactly doing her best to keep me away.

Probably because its not entirely clear whether there will be an actual xenomorph in the movie and thats what people associate with the "Alien" name. And the fact that the "Alien" brand name has suffered with a bunch of truly ****ty movies for the past 20 years or so and they probably want to avoid that baggage.

Well, after Aliens, I'm sure Ridley wouldn't want the stink of the other movies on this one. Besides, who would go see "Aliens: First Contact?" Prometheus gives it a sense of sounding ground-breaking for the world that it's set in. And from the looks of it, this movie will trump everything else in this film series.

Probably. I'm a bit of a cynic by now and few movies actually turn out to be good, so obviously I'm not convinced this will be much better than the last few Alien Something-Somethings. Hopefully better than the VS Predator movies though.

I'm going anyway.

Why always spoilers? Oh well, only a month to go. Must wait...

Not really a spoiler as what they say is pretty much spelled out in the previews.

Perhaps I'm dense, but it was a big spoiler for me.

Scott's decision for changing the T-Rating to R-Rating is probably the best news I've heard about this film so far. Looking forward to it again after this.

1 minute clip

No spoilers in this one, but I never thought I'd get to see Stringer Bell land a spaceship.

Elba has real range as an actor. He was amazing as John Luther.

Great visuals. I just hope this movie is more than a rehash of Alien.

Great interview with Damon Lindeloff about Prometheus - (he also explains some things about the ending of Lost).

Also, Noomi Rapace screen test / viral video Quiet Eye

What, it's not out in the US yet? I never understood why we can't just have worlwide release dates for everything.
