You shouldn't be resigned. Well, it's your right of course, but as it was stated in several other threads, they are going through the classical PR handling of the situation. That's "standard procedure", including the non-answer answer from Casey Hudson. That's the whole point of holding the line : what comes next in the standard procedure is giving an actual answer when they see people don't just move on.

like ive said before..if only we could channel this energy into something like world peace.

That's fallacious though. You could say that for anything...

We've known about the endings and the quality of the writing which plagues the entire game for months now, plot holes the size of the moon were identified and discussed in length. Yet, we were called useless whiners who had to find a life and stop posting.

Now, possibly due to intoxication, I feel it necessary to share. If you don't like the endings, why are you still here wasting your life on something you hate? Gosh, how immature!

so what you're saying is, the ending being bad doesnt matter because we glossed over too many inconsistencies?

Almost.

What I'm saying is the endings are a small issue among many greater issues and the only reason why the endings are receiving so much attention is because they're one of the few issues that interfere with player gratification.

Thus, those who claim to take issue with the writing of the ending yet are more then willing to overlook the much greater writing atrocities throughout the rest of the game are childish, self-centered, juvenile, hypocrites etc etc.

Anyways, I'm tired. Toodle pip.

Oh no please go on.
Keep attacking people like their opinions should follow yours.
The only reason your so angry is because you're a Cerebrus fanboy and you're not happy that the obvious villain from the 2nd game became an obvious villain in the 3rd?
GIve me abreak talk about self-centered, hypocrite.
You attack people's opinions like you understand exactly why they have those opinions.
Fine lets attack the entire game see where that gets us.
You think they'll put in a proper Rachni Resolution DLC?
Maybe we should demand TIM being the good guy DLC.
Seriously I sure as hell noticed the other problems with the game but one thing at a time geez.
Again I'm seeing the childish behaviour coming from the other guys and so quick to call us childish.

U mad that the ending prevented you from celebrating TIM's death bro?

If we stop giving feedback about they ending, BioWare has won. We can't have that, they intentionally messed up (at least according to the notes in Geoff Keighleys app). They can fix this.

Hold the line!

I don't like the endings I was given, and I have not yet heard one person who has made 8000 EMS with just single player. Well other than Jarret Lee, who says it is more than possible/easy to do and Adam Sessler who says it should be possible. One guy got 7200 EMS, I only made it to 6800 myself. My point is Bioware feels they can force multiplayer down our throats. (I hate co-op games, I don't buy co-op games, I want my single player games to be single player games) Thus they will not change the ending of the game as it shows they don't care what their fans think anymore.
Kind of reminds me of the movie Airplane quote; "They bought their tickets. I say let them crash."

A great many of us avoided spoilers when the script was leaked. While people who let curiosity get the better of them may have known how the game was going to end months ago, that is not the vast for most of the people who played the game. Hence the outpouring of rage and disappointment over the ending they got, just days ago...

And there is a very good reason to be active in voicing our displeasure: to get those disappointing endings corrected in a DLC. It wouldn't be the first time that it has happened. (see Fallout 3)

People that tell others to move on are too weak to do what you are doing. Ignore them, let THEM move on.

"Weak"? I've spent the last week-and-a-half following this issue. Sharing various reports with my friends via FB. Commenting on articles. I donated $50 to Child's Play. Marauder Shields is my BFF on Facebook. I've been as passionate as the rest of you.

My point is, following Casey Hudson's statement, I really think it's just time to move on (for all the reasons I outlined in my initial post).

Replacing the word "weak" with "resigned" would probably be more accurate.

The minute you have an opinion other than theirs, you are no longer on their side and they will shun and attack you for it. Just don't feed them, OP. I applaud you for lasting in the movement that long, actually.

Shepard would be outside living his life for others not posting nonsense on video game forums about some game ending. that's what Shepard would do. maybe your shepard stayed behind cover playing with his omni tool but mine was out there helping the galaxy not trying to destroy the creator of it (Bioware)

First I laughed, then I thought, "Huh, you know, that IS probably how I'll remember Shepard. That sucks."

For my own part, I have uninstalled ME1/2/3 from my PC, and have absolutely no intention of purchasing any future DLC, even if it addresses the endings (which it won't). I also have absolutely no intention of buying another product from BioWare ever again. My N7 Collector's Edition has been shoved to the back of a drawer, where it will stay

LOL. So histrionic.

Of course you'll purchase the DLC.

There might be some spoiler-ish things here...

Man, i cant decide if i should hold out hope or not - i like many of you (especially here, reading this) am a massive fan of the series. I was so invested, got the trilogy art book, comics, books, wound up getting the ps3 version of 2 just to check the difference to xbox, and also 2 pre-orders of me3 to get all the dlc pre-order exclusives (in new zealand that was the only way!) and now im totally shattered. I will be honest that with the end i got, initially i wasnt upset - it was very weird, and i thought possibly glitched beacuse a squadmate was in a scene after the choice - who was with me on the run toward the portal - surely they would be dead?
Anyways, i had heard the fuss but didnt want to read anything until i finished it myself, and thats when i realised - it doesnt matter - whatever you choose, its all the same. I couldnt believe it, so i fired up that save and did the last 20 mins and chose a different option - and i was dumbstruck. I dont think this series deserves my attention anymore. Ive probably only got myself to blame - for thinking it could live up to the expectations, but this was so far from it its just not funny. After ME2 i remember launching straight back in - probably played that game over 8 times by now. ME3? Only once and ive already gone on to a new game. Im not sure if ill support the series anymore.

I was also really surprised by the amount of people i know who were interested in checking this game out, who caught wind of the endings saga and now dont even want to bother with this series or continue on with it - most gamers i know who arnt yet major ME fans are really put off by what they are hearing. This stuff is super damaging to Bioware, it may sell well out the gate, but im worried for the longevity.

I really doubt they will address the endings - post campaign dlc is impossible obviously beacuase of the choice, so anything Shepard related has to be set before the choice - Mr Hudsons statement basically confirms there will be no changes.

Im really upset the trilogy had to go out like this

The people who think we all want 'rainbows and bunnies' are laughably ill-informed.

The problem isn't that the endings aren't happy, it's that they DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE. An ending can be both dark, and powerful, and meaningful, without being nonsensical, or ignoring the canon established during the game(s). Don't believe me? Arkham City is calling, you should answer.

Before anyone "gives up" or "moves on," they should read this:

http://social.biowar.../index/10084349

EA and Bioware are counting on our short attention spans. It has only been 12 days.

Don't let this blow over if you love this company. Friends don't let friends make self-destructive artistic choices.

They thought it was art... let's make it history. :P

Moving on is giving up, telling the company it is okay to screw over their loyal fans and use what in types of products would be very close to false advertising.

Nah at first I was convinced the whole controversy was hyped to much up, but then I read more and more posts on the subject. Later tonight when my new Origin account, where I could register ME3 kicks in, and I can post in all ME3 forum sections...

I am joining the line.
