That message was released for this very reason. WE ARE NOW A THREAT. You can't ignore enemies which are giving you damage. If we continue this preasure their bottom line (financial) will take such a hit that they will be forced to listen. Everything thus far has been delaying tactics to try and wait out the fan base. Keep up the preasure and they will fold. If we were not causing ANY damage at all then this press release would not have been delivered at all.

People that tell others to move on are too weak to do what you are doing. Ignore them, let THEM move on.

Yep. It certainly takes a lot of effort to protest over the internet.

What's over? It's only been a few days.... geez. People. Some advice. Go outside, go camping, hiking... build a couch fort... play with your kids, take them to Six Flags or a water park.

Go do something else for awhile. Seriously, some of us (me included) need to take a break and go enjoy ourselves doing something other than grinding our teeth and bloodtyping on our keyboards from frustration (trust me your keyboard will thank you... silently).

I was thinking something like after the prelimenary sales cycle, which is around the week 3-4 mark.
And we still have to consider that Asia is behind most of us in playing the game.
Soon we will see our Japanese and Korean friends popping in and giving us their impressions.
So I think we still have a week or two to go.

I don't quite understand your logic. How am I (to paraphrase) "kissing BioWare's ass" when I: (a) am extremely disappointed with the product in question, (B) think that their PR response to this has been entirely predictable, © have literally removed their games from my hard drive, (d) have no intention of purchasing their products in the future, (e) acknowledge that the mainstream gaming media is in the industry's pocket, and that the coverage of this issue by the likes of IGN, Destructoid etc has been disgraceful (yet, again, entirely predictable), (f) have contributed money to a protest movement....I mean, I could go on.

Can you extrapolate, please?

The statement from Casey Hudson yesterday is exactly the kind of condascending whitewash I was expecting. Here is what I took away from it (your mileage may vary):

- We're happy with what we did, and take no responsibility for the fact that we might have dropped the ball.
- Publications and gaming sites gave ME3 great reviews, so STFU.
- We'll keep supporting the game throughout the year by making you pay for DLC which continues Commander Shepard's adventures (and based on previous comments, the intention is for this DLC to take place before the endgame).

While this is true, keep in mind we already achieved more than some would have hoped. As much as Casey is unapologetic about the ending, he still had to admit there were fans that disliked it and also noted some of the reason why. That is already a big step, so for you to give up now seems odd to me. We're basically one step away from getting them to fix this mess. If anything, now's when we need to make our voice heard more than ever.

Its real simple using a Bioware dev comments to say its over . Nah its not over not by a long shot . You see they made comments and statements about the game before it was .  you want to roll with the developers on this one fine . but I am not buying not one dam word casey says .

I imagine that they will contact EA and BioWare and try to get to the bottom of what the complaints are about.
If they see a reason, they will open an official investigation and alert some press that they are doing so.
Then it comes down to how the companies in question handle the situation, sometimes these kinds of investigations are "open-shut" because the companies formally apologize and rectify the situation in a way that those agencies deem as "acceptable".

But the conclusion is highly variable. The reality is that these types of "official investigations" are just a form of pressure to get a company to make the right decisions.

It is also very telling that he ignored the charity drive completely. This is a big sign that it is something he does *not* want to bring to mainstream media if at all possible.

Again, I don't quite understand your logic. Surely if I was a "Bio fan bot", as you so eloquently put it, I would be defending them? Instead, I've taken an official statement and interpreted it - with reference to previous events and statements - in a way which quite clearly damns them. The action I've decided to take might be different to you, but that's the only difference.

if the charity drive was organised by the charity, can you blame them ?

i wouldnt want any connection if they find out a charity just fuelled a drive to get money from angry gamers.

and it wasnt even a charity that supports gamers with syndromes :D

Why don't you move on instead.

I think I made it pretty clear in my post that that's exactly what I'm doing.

I think that's partly what the higher ups in the PR department over at BioWare/EA want everyone to do. If people give up hoping for a resolution then they don't need to do anything to appease unhappy consumers. The squeeky wheel gets the grease after all. That being said, by squeeky I don't mean people should rant and complain nonsensicaly. Many people on BSN are engaging in civil and intelligent discussions with one another. Don't give up. Hope springs eternal.

I'd say hold the line, but this does indeed feel more appropriate to the tone of this thread:
                 :alien:
Never Give Up, Never Surrender.
