Not just the game but the entire franchise.

I'm pretty much in this boat. It isn't that I am making some grand dramatic gesture or even think what I do matters in the scheme of things. It is just that the game is so pointless now, I cannot imagine replaying this or the older games, and certainly cannot imagine any sort of DLC I would ever buy. I'm just glad I didn't buy the day 1 dlc. It is best that Prothy stayed dormant.

What possible motivation could I have to buy more DLC that Bioware has already said will happen during the main game........not after it. I really want to spend 2 hours with new characters, that I know are all doomed if not outright killed in front of me...........AGAIN.

Good luck Bioware, I can imagine you had half a dozen mplay map packs and weapons packs lined up. I don't know anyone that even wants to play this game twice, let alone keep the mplay going for the 6-8 months of DLC mplay trickle you had planned.

Basically I have zero interest in any DLC that happens during ME3 or before ME3. It all falls into the same category of.............WHAT IS THE POINT? Rumor is you have a DLC or full game set in the Prothean timeline.........again what is the point, we can't change anything. If you can't even change the last 10 minutes of the game, you surely won't let a 50,000 year old prequel change a darn thing.

The ending ruined the game for me personally best example i can give is dating a girl for 5 years and every choice you make is leading up to the big conclusion of getting a great job and marrying her only to find out on your wedding day that she was born with a damn penis. Sure they were a great 5 years and you were saving your self for this girl ,but in the end she has a penis and that just not cool.

Yes, sadly. As I watch my girlfriend go through the series, I am continually reminded at how these wonderful games lost my love in roughly 10 minutes

Yes, it made me not want to play through with more characters (I had eight playthroughs ready to go) there is no reason to buy any DLC, nor give BioWare any more money for this rushed, "let's tie up all the loose ends as fast as we can" ending. (singular... not plural)

It does if I think about it while I'm playing. People keep on telling me in my second Insanity playthrough about how worried they are that this thing I'm doing will affect the future and all I can think is

"Nope not really, you guys are going to have to worry more about starving to death when I condemn you all by destroying the relays and you will likely never see your loved one/hated enemy/home planet again anyways."

The only way I was able to play was through a mixture of donating to Child's Play, pretending the Indoctrination theory was true, and basically doing my best to wipe the Star Child's existence from my mind when I'm playing. I still took a few pot shots at that vent though.:bandit:

Yes, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 were ruined for me by Mass Effect 3's ending. MASS effect 3's multiplayer is still ok for me to play but even it was tainted by the endings. The meaning behind the multiplayer was ruined for me. I won't buy anything bioware makes unless the enedings are fixed.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that it really ruined the game. I'll be able to play ME2 again, but not for a while.

We're all going through so much trouble with Retake Mass Effect and other things because we still care so much about this series. We don't want to see it end the way it did

Not at all. Replaying the game right now and enjoying it a lot, doesn't have the feel of the begining playthrough but it's still damned fun.

Seriously even if I thought the endings were ****, which I strongly disagree on, then 5 minutes wouldn't ruin an entire game series for me.

What's the point? My crew is starving to death. Shep is most likely dead. Space travel and civilization has been destroyed. I think it would've ended better had the reapers won.

Truely and honestly did that ending really ruin a amazing game which start to all the way to the ending run was amazing. In my opinion it wasn't all that terrible..Granted it was a desus ex machina but then again so was the crucbile it self if you think about it.

If it was always intended as the real ending without anything more - then yeah it ruined it.

I didn't think it did, but I just got the assignment to go get the Primarch from the Turian Councellor and I have no motivation to do it. So, at this point, I will not say it ruined the game for me since all of my memories of it are great, but it has significantly hurt the game's (and the whole series') replay value, a huge part of RPGs

Yes. It ruined the whole series for me, personally.

Yes, this game sucked.  The lighting sucked, the fact that the Citadel is basically the only ****ing place you go besides all the missions which are basically N7 missions from ME2(yeah the ****ty 10 minute ones), the fact that in the ending trilogy my face didn't import...oh yeah and the ending was just ****ing stupid.  Destroy the mass relays, but not the normandy, nah we'll dock on this lush planet the reapers forgot to **** up.

Considering I can't even bring myself to replay the game like I have every other mass effect game?

Yeah I'd say it hurts me.

I'm selling my copy, not because there is nothing of value, but to send a cash message to bioware.

My used copy is one more game someone won't buy from EA

It did at first, for a week and a half, I didnt want anything to do with it, I am still upset about the ending, but unlike a lot of people, my first experience ever with me universe was only 3 weeks ago, so I only tried soldier and I really want to experience the other classes and choices that i didnt make. I do realize that the choices wont matter in the end and that I will still be mad when I get there. But I paid for those games amd I intend to at least try to enjoy them the best I could. But yeah...not gonna buy any dlc unless they fix the ending, even if its just epilogue text.

To some degree, yes it did. There are great moments, but still...
It also made Sovereign, Harbinger, and the reapers in general quite ridiculous and contradictory with nearly everything they say or do.

Is the ending disappointing? Yes. Did it honestly ruin the game for me? Sadly, no. That had been done within the first hour or so. The ending was the icing on the cake for me.

I've said before that the lack of direct control over my Shep was what hurt the game worst for me. This wasn't my Shepard. When I get one dialogue choice so far into the conversation... no. That's not what I associate with Mass Effect. I associate the ability to control my character during dialogue with Mass Effect. During the opening, I have a very small handful of choices, whereas before I would have dozens.

The ending was just salt in the wound. But that's just my opinion, and I won't begrudge anybody else of theirs.

Yes, it did.

I wanted (and to some degree even expected) a happy ending as the "best" result, but I was fully prepared for an ending where lots of people die, possibly including Shepard. I could have lived with that, if the ending had overall left me with a good feeling, a feeling of having accomplished something, of having saved the galaxy.
But what did I do, really? I killed Shepard in a rather not so epic fashion, I destroyed known civilisation and I possibly turned all people into cybernetic mutants in the process. Not to mention the unavoidable destruction from the war. And to top it off, I didn't really see a lot of all that either. No mention of my war assets, the people I recruited, everyone I met during the three games. It's the exact opposite of what I wanted.

And yeah, I did noticethat the Crucible itself is a deus ex machina as well, it would have been a lot better to invent something that disables Reaper shields or refit all ships with a new weapon of some kind. But then again, it wasn't really breaking the game and at least the Mars mission was good, so it's not such a big deal.

If you had asked me if the ending had ruined the series a few days ago I would have said yes. But just yesterday I decided to go back to ME2, run the suicide mission and had a blast, the ending with all the reapers heading to Earth was still epic. Is ME3 ruined? Well I won't play it for a while knowing the ending is what it is. However, after a few weeks I might go back. I honestly loved 99% of the game and want to see what my renegade can do, and I still have to do my femshep play through as well. And who knows, maybe by that time we will have some closure on the endings to make those playthroughs more satisfying.
