I started a second playthrough and just got done with Tuchanka. I was going to keep playing, but the further I got in the game the more I couldn't see the point in moving forward with it. I've been at that point for a few days now where I consider playing further, but Skyrim seems like such a better option.
So did it honestly ruin the game for you?

It ruined the entire trilogy for me. That is a first for me, for any medium.

The ending to a story is often far, far more important than the beginning. So yeah.
I saw a guide before ME3 came out on how to kill everyone on your squad except for Shepard and Morinth along with making every Renegade choice possible to make you the most hated person in the galaxy. This dude's play through and mine and yours had the same exact ending.

Yes and no. HUGE yes for a day, then the creative side of my brain kicked in and came up with a substitute ending involving indoctrination. And the day after THAT, I discovered the forum thread speculating on the indoctrination-as-canon theory and hope rekindled. At the moment, I'm running on that hope and head-canon. Because yes, that ending felt like being socked in the stomach.

Short answer. Yes, Convoluted answer Yes and No.
Explained: The game is still good and has solid story telling but the ending does... put a sour note on the franchise not just the game. What I mean is... I already replayed ME1 and ME2 to my satisfaction and ME3 doesn't rekindle it for me. Also, I don't feel like taking all my Shepard 'clones' through ME3.
Will I play ME3 again? maybe. The same way I tend to replay any game that entertained me. But it will be like replaying Gears of War 3 (I will do it, but not gongho or 12 times). Unlike the previous Mass Effects which I replayed more than I can count (I thought the same would be true of ME3 before I saw the ending).
Hence what I mean about, yes and no. It did ruin something that diminished my enjoyment of the game.

Yes, it does. I can't play the game, or for that matter, any of the trilogy, without getting incredibly angry and disgusted with the ending. If none of my choices matter in the end, why bother?

It did ruin the game for me.
I cannot recommend this game. I enjoyed it until the ending and now I actually feel the entire thing was a negative experience. I thought I would replay the game many times, now I know I'll never replay it if something isn't done.

I hate to use the word ruin, because all the game content is so good. But the ending completely kills my desire to replay any of the trilogy. My enthusiasm has been depleted
My thoughts too. When I beat ME2 the ending was so epic and what was the first thing I did? Started it up with a Renegade Shep to see how different the layout would be.
Now? I have 3 other imports ready for ME3 and I had planned on starting the trilogy over but I see no point in it as long as I know that it leads to a color choice. As epic as the the first two and 99% of the third installment are, the ending overpowers any desire I have to go through these games again.

It soured the entire trilogy for me. i tried playing ME1 again cause it's the best one in the series... i just can't do it. can't even read the books. or look at the art of the mass effect universe book i had. it's like when someone close to you dies and you can't look at their picture for a long time, because doing so feels like pouring taco sauce in a gash on your chest. really painful.

I hate to say it, but ya. It did. The game was great, but the ending is a pretty bitter pill to swallow. I literally just can't bring myself to do another play through knowing it's all for naught.
Also, since the crucible was introduced early, and was integral to the plot throughout the ME3 storyline, it doesn't really qualify as deus ex machina. You're right about the catalyst though. A random space-kid inexplicably showing up to "explain" everything definitely qualifies.

Yes it did. Infact, i cant bear to look at my ME3 case anymore without getting a violent, physical reaction.

Yes, the ending did ruin it for me. Most of the game was incredible but the ending and the run up to it just completely took the wind out of my sails and left me feeling hollow, incomplete, and that all that time I put into the games was wasted.

I felt depressed enough to lay in bed for the majority of the day after I "beat" the game. Since then I've attempted to bring my ME1 Vanguard through ME2, but I just can't help but feel it is all pointless.
The fact that the final 10 minutes has caused me to stop playing the franchise is quite impressive.

The ending ruined all of the single player experience across all three games for me. Mass Effect was in competition for my favorite game series, and that ending sucked all the enjoyment I had out of them.
The best analogy that I have heard is Mass Effect was like this amazing 3 course gourmet meal. You salivate over dish, and savor every bite. At the end of the last course, just when you think the meal could not be more perfect, you discover a piece of dog dirt in the last bite of your dish. Not only does it turn your stomach, forcing you to evacuate the entirety of the meal, but it makes you wish to never provide patronage to the restaurant that served it again.

I only did another playthough because I wanted to get te perfect ending, even played MP, which I wasn't remotely interested in. But yeah, total replay value of the franchise as a whole went down the crapper in those last 10 mins.

Yes, it more or less ruined ME for me.
Replayability and future DLC's lost their charm, because of the "what's the point" feeling I got from the ending.
