So did it honestly ruin the game for you?

I literally lost interest in replaying it. I had even intended to start a new ME1 game and do an epic three game run, but it just seemed pointless... and this is from someone who's done a full LOTR extended edition rally.

For reference, Battlestar Galactica is my favorite show ever. I also thought the ending was absolute garbage, but it didn't make me feel terrible about the previous 70~ shows I had watched. I can still re-watch it and love it as much as I always did. I managed to forgive the awful ending. Can't do that with Mass Effect.

Yes and no.
No, the crowning moments of awesome are still ruling supreme. The accomplishments by Bioware are worthy of praise and recognition.
Yes. The ending has soured the experience and, as stated while awesome is still awesome, I cannot bear to revisit the awesome as I know where it's going to go.
Does that make sense?

Truely and honestly did that ending really ruin a amazing game which start to all the way to the ending run was amazing. In my opinion it wasn't all that terrible..Granted it was a desus ex machina but then again so was the crucbile it self if you think about it.
I've almost gotten through most of another play through, its taken over a week to get that far because I can do like 1 mission at a time before I get angry and stop.
So yes, it really did for me.
This, although I quit when Anderson dies. I also play a lot of MP now.

Yes. I tried to do a NG+ insanity run but I'm stuck on Mars for lack of motivation. There's this little voice in the back of my head that keeps reminding me that I'll meet that irritating kid with his insane troll logic at the end. Every time that happens, the disappointment comes back.
I think I'm really so irritated because the rest of the game was so good. If it was crap all the way through I wouldn't care nearly as much. But instead it's like having a date with a beautiful woman only to discover she's really a man in the last five minutes.

I hate to use the word ruin, because all the game content is so good. But the ending completely kills my desire to replay any of the trilogy. My enthusiasm has been depleted

I don't really care about the dues ex machina, to me it's about not adequately conveying what the hell just happened and plot holes like Joker fleeing the battle and my squad appearing on the ship.
Ha, i hear you there, why was joker running and how the hell did squad get in there when they were seemingly following you into the beam before Harbinger arrived? So unless everyone's indoctrination and hillucination are correct, or BioWare completly messed up and forgot "The fans want closure so we'll give it to them." From interviews with Casey after all the yelling, it sounded like they messed up.

Ultimately, I know the ending. My Shepards don't. It's not fair to not let them have their turn.
