Everytime I have searched for an answer it comes up with mass effect 2 topics.
Here is the story. I have mass effect 3 for Xbox. My wife is playing on her account and it says she has to purchase the dlc even though I have it on the xbox. it also automatically signs her into my EA account granting her the galactic readiness that I have achieved.
I did not sign into my EA account on her profile so I have no idea why it is doing that, but why do I have to purchase the DLC again? this was not an issue in mass effect 2. Is this intended or is there a fix.
I do not want to pay for something I already own
DLC .seperate profiles, same xbox.

Seriously, I want to know if this is a problem or EA wants me to buy it twice.

First of all which dlc is it?
It depends on the dlc, if its the "From Ashes" dlc you both should get it.
Make sure that on the screen you purchase it on, before you download it you check on "User Restrictions", it should say whether its for one profile or for every-one on the Xbox.
If its the multiplayer code I guess its a Origin specific dlc, which means that EA is not giving the buyer full access too their product. (I have not done it myself because I am aware this might be)

I share the xbox with multiple other family members. While I have not purchased "From Ashes," I can tell you that with every other dowloadable anything, the original console where I purchased a download has it available for anyone who logs in there and plays. We've tested this over and over because we have multiple consoles in the same house. Wife can play DLC on the one where I bought the stuff originally but on any other console, she has to buy it herself.
You can transfer this ownership from one console to another on the Xbox website.

She will likely never play multiplayer, but on the console where i activated the multiplayer code, she is able to connect to EA servers and see the GaW map.all at 50%. She is never prompted for the online code.
