Do us and the scientific community a favor and record it for us. His reaction will be PRICELESS. Not only for scientists, who will use the data to better help those traumatized by awful video game endings, but to the rest of us, for the lawls.

one of two things:

1- Booze, bring it, and if he smokes that too
2- As Shep passes out, turn off the computer.

My friend finally got ME3 yesterday and he's marathoning the **** out of it. He got it last night and he's on the geth dreadnought already.

Now here's my problem. He has no idea what's coming. At all. He thinks I won't talk about the ending because if how much in awe I am of it. He thinks it'll be amazing. The worst part is that he keeps asking me how his decisions will play out later. He says he's going to video chat with me via facetime later tonight. How should I prepare him? What can I say?

ask him to tape his reaction for posterity.

Let him finish it. It has more impact. Just be ready with beer and munchies.

Don't spoil it. I truly loved the first 95%. Let him enjoy it while he still can, because much of the wonder is killed in about ten minutes' time

The ending is so bad that it's hard to believe until you've seen it for yourself.

This is so true. I was another one of those people who'd vaguely heard about it being awful and had a couple of people saying "do yourself a favour and DON'T finish it" but I figured that surely it couldn't be that bad. Plus since I was on a roll already I just HAD to finish it. I mean even if it was really poorly done it would surely still be the ENDING right? Some sort of conclusion to the whole thing?

Then I played it and found how nonsensical, poorly written and full of plot holes the ending really was. As well as the complete lack of resolution of...well virtually anything. Unfortunately what has been seen cannot be unseen. And now I'm warning people off finishing it myself.

Let him play it and come to his own conclusions, imo. Serves no purpose to impose your order on his ch... I mean, spoil his fun :)

Honestly, I think you should go over there with a video camera, and record his reactions as he plays through the ending, and then post it so Casey and Co. can see the result of their "wanting people to think".

He's a hardcore ME fan who never checks online forums or video game news sites, so he has no idea what's coming. In a way, I'm a little jealous if him. He still has hope.

Now my sister on the other hand...well, she swore up and down when I explained galactic readiness (She hates mp.) So if she gets that mad from that, the ending's going to murder her.

I got one of my friends to not get the game simply by going up to him, gritting my teeth and telling him.

"Look, im sorry about what im going to do"
"What?"
"This is how ME3 ends *insert explanation*.... sorry for spoiling you"

I got choked at first, and then a simple look of confusion. Proceeded to show him the actual ending, in the video with all of them side by side, followed by some more explanation.
This is what i got told.

"Thanks."

Tell him that 10 mins before the end before he enters the beam he will have the ultimate choice to make, one that will have an epic influince on how he will view the game.

Then hope Maurauder Shields can save him

Sit in there with your friend while he plays the ending.
Wait for Anderson to tell Shepard that he did good, before Shepard takes the elevator up.
And then get up and turn off your friend's 360 and explain that you're doing him a favor.

This. Or let him finish it and just be there for him for a shoulder to cry on and moral support. Tell him welcome to the fleet and to hold the line.

Let him enjoy the game as much as possible.  The vast majority of it is too good to ruin that for him.  I also think the reaction to the ending will be far stronger if he doesn't know about it.

Don't tell him anything, let him learn the horror of the ending unspoiled, this way it won't ruin the rest of the earlier parts.

Even though the ending is jaw droppingly bad, just let him experience it himself. It's a gaming moment that has to be seen to be believed.
