I got choked at first, and then a simple look of confusion. Proceeded to show him the actual ending, in the video with all of them side by side, followed by some more explanation.
This is what i got told.

Softening the blow will lessen the shock... Allow him to wander for a week not being sure what to trust like we all did. Feeling the full effect of this terrible ending will give him an honest perspective. Afterwards let him know though... it's not a dream.... or indoctrination.

I don't think theres anything you can do.

I read the leaked summaries and it didn't prepare me in the slightest for what I witnessed, I even thought people were overreacting about them...right up until I saw them.

If you turn off the computer at Maurauder Shields or Anderson, he'll always wonder why, he'll want to find out the rest.

Though might I suggest this video for afterwards. It's probably been the best things to help me come to terms with it, whatever step Bioware takes next.

Haha. You could hint at it, I told my friend that i thought the ending was utterly ****, but he should form his own opinion. He's expecting the worst now, but he's hoping to himself that he'll be positively suprised. Atleast he won't get as disappointed if anything.

Just tell him there's a chance he'll be disappointed with the ending, that you and other people were. But don't go into detail, let him enjoy himself. That's what I plan on telling my brother before he plays.

Let him enjoy it longer. I had the same problem with my friend. We both got it Day 1 but I beat it first. He sent me a text saying "just went up the beam this so epic!" I just started laughing really hard knowing how upset he would be about the ending. A few minutes later he called me and we talked about how terrible the ending was for an hour and a half.
