Somewhat off-topic, the advertisement I got at the end of that segment featured narration with a Jamaican accent, and I instantly looked up to see if it was Javik.

On-topic, I like the anchor's, "Yes, that's very inter--, wait, what?" moment.

Gee, that's a bit of a dag.

Good to see that the mainstream news is picking things up. Call me an optimist but we must be making some waves.

With this coverage I think that bioware might actually have to do something.

Thanks for the link. I was having trouble finding it when I was looking for it before. I think he was right on the mark. The importance of this controversy is bigger than just the endings themselves. They're creating all sorts of really interesting conversations about the role of fans in the creation of a fictional world.

The average age of a video gamer in the US is 35? Whaaaaa'?

Take into account casual gaming for things like Farmville on Facebook I'm not surprised at all with that number.

How's that "We're listening" thing working out for ya, Bioware?

I actually watch the CNN video: the guy that does the segment did his homework on why we are fighting for the new ending, and the poll at Bioware that shows how many ppl are NOT happy with the ending...this will just keep snowballing as bad PR for Bioware if they don't start thinking about a new DLC ending for the fans...

HOLD THE LINE!!!!

...Seriously? Wow, um... Incentive for BW to do something maybe?

I still feel bad for BW.

Not surprising if accurate. Right age range for when they exploded, and can freely spend money on them. Hell, my mom is in her 60s and kills the **** out of Tetris.

I'm not sure if it's 35, but that is certainly closer than what a lot of people think.  I know the average is definitely well within the adult range.  It's just that people that don't know better assume it's still just kids playing.

It's similar to comic books.  A lot of people think it's kids reading them, but the average is somewhere in the 30s.

The longer this goes on, the more foolish Bioware will look for leaving the (lack of an) ending to ME3 as is. This is real, visible progress on our parts and we have to keep it up.

For people who don't want to sit through the whole video, skip to 4:06 for the ME3 coverage.

So I was wondering when that video would finally get to Mass Effect, of course they saved the most interesting story for last. I am so glad to have all this massive publicity to our movement and to the true fans of Bioware and the Mass Effect franchise. Holding the line as long as it takes.

Mark Saltzman reppin' Toronto and BSN!! Love this guy.

Edit: Anchorwoman is annoying; pretending to be interested is more annoying than simply being apathetic or neutral.

It was covered very well. The correspondent did not paint the fans as whiners or complainers, and gave the historic relevance of the issue its due while simultaneously putting some pressure on Bioware since they mentioned that there are rumors that Bioware will change the ending.

But let's not confuse this for victory. Maintain the pressure until we see results.

They made abit of a booboo, fallout had a new ending so not really "first time in history". ^_^

Doesn't matter much... it's the first with that much media couverage... BW should better start to listen closely soon... not just say that they do.
