Well if this forum is anything close to representive of fanbase, then things are bad for BioWare. Of course you cant ask opinion of every single fan, but what makes you think most other fans are happier with this situation?

Wishful thinking.  The percentages on that poll have held steady throughout it's lifespan.  It doesn't seem to matter how many respond, there are never more than 2% who actually think these endings are good.  If you look at the broader internet, there is more variation, but the lowest support for ending change on any site that asks the question is still above 80%.

That is what i was trying to say :) Exact percentage is useless, but it does show most fans dislike the ending.

This is great to see more and more high profile coverage of the ending controversy! The reviewer forgets to mention that Fallout 3 actually did change it's ending with its Broken Steel DLC but I don't think the fact that a new ending DLC has been done before hurts the cause at all. If anything the fact that precedent has been set will help!

The first video game to do that? Nope. Still not mad, though.

I don't think EA/BW cares that he forgot to mention Fallout 3. They just want their name away from that highly negative story.

Now if they actually listen to us and end the game we paid for, THEN they'll want Fallout 3 mentioned so they don't get egg on their face and thought of as the FIRST to listen to their customers.

God forbid.

Hold the Line.

Way to think a neutral snippet is a win.

It is, any publicity is bad for Bioware at the moment.

But you seem happy to trying to get a fight with everyone here, almost like a .....troll.

Maybe now I won't roll my eyes when Marc Saltzman tries to sell me on a new gadget before the movie starts.

I think we will see more of these reviews from serious non-gaming media, because it's really interesting and somewhere exciting business incident.

Fallout 3's Broken Steel added on a good 20+ hours extra of gameplay to F3 though, as well as allowed you to go back to picking your way through the ruins of Washington D.C. The ending to F3 remained the ending regardless and was not "Changed" in any way. The cutscene still played, and the ending was effectively the same, what merely happened after the ending is what Broken Steel was all about.

All we're really asking for is an ending which makes sense.

Swear to god, if game industries start to intentionally make the endings suck so there will be dlc... This is my last game from EA that I'll buy.

In CNN's defense, they did specify that the ending change to be the first in retaliation to fan response, not that it's the first to change the ending of a game.

Regardless, neutral is still good.
