So I'm pretty much done planning everything out for my PC upgrade, but I can't decide which to get between these two:
-Radeon HD4890 Sonic
-Geforce GTX 275

I'm leaning towards GTX more since I've been using NVidia from the start but from what I hear I wouldn't mind giving ATi a shot..From the looks of things Radeon has better performance and might last quite a while before I have to upgrade again,on the other hand GTX might have some advantages that I don't know about.

I'm no expert when it comes to this so I need some help picking them out.

Which one gets the Toms Hardware bang for the buck win?  I think it's the Radeon.  But you can read about it.  They update the article every month or so over there.

I'm not really familiar with the site and I can't find detailed info there, but I was able to do a comparison.Even with that though I'm still pretty confused, but it seems like the GTX is slightly better.Or am I completely missing the important parts in that comparison?

Comparison:

What exactly do you plan to use these for and, more importantly, what prices have you found them at? If you're not gaming at the very high resolutions, it might be better to buy one of ATI's Radeon 5000 cards. These range from slightly less powerful than your choices to roughly twice as powerful and all of them feature DirectX 11 so they're a bit more future-proof. The Nvidia cards have CUDA and PhysX, but the former is rather specialized in usage and the latter is limited to a few games and even then it is usually doing things that are best left to the CPU.

Best Bang for buck I found from Nvidia. Bought it a couple of weeks ago and it's running like a charm.

@Althernai: I don't live in the US so price range is pretty different here,so I didn't put in the exact price.

Anyway I've decided to go with HD5850 if I can afford it but if that fails Plan B is GTX 275

Thanks for the input guys.
