I have been threatened with bodily harm four times, thanks. Two of them were telling me to kill myself. And at this point, you're trolling me which isn't appreciated.

No, because I'm not stupid enough to categorize an entire group of which I have no suitable sample. I've seen you post and quote insults before, though as I've said I wouldn't know which of these thousands of dead threads out there to check for it, nor do I have any real desire to. All the "proof" you've given shows that a handful of people were disrespectful... what does that prove exactly? That some people are disrespectful?

But as time is going on and more and more aggressive and disrespectful threads pop up.

I am beginning to think due to the actions and arrogance of a lot of the fanbase over Origin, Liara statues, anime series, femshep voting, endings, ammo clips, kinect, textures, LI's, DLC, multiplayer and much more that maybe Bioware should find some new fans. One's less prone to hyperbole, vitriol, review bombing, contempt, personal attacks on wiki and twitter, emotional blackmail and holding them to ransom with boycotts plus threats of legal action for false advertisment also constant flux of aggression towards half the things they do.

Seriously, report people who say those things. It's not right, and you don't have to take that.

You should report people who are being impolite.

BUT, there is a difference between being rude, and disagreeing, that's for the mod's to figure out sometimes. Use your judgement, but if I had reported those people, they would have been banned within 24 hours.

Another thread about respect couldn't hurt, in SOME cases people do cross the line. However, calling the few the many and undermining the entire movement is ill advised.

Yes, there is a difference. But, there are times where the best of both sides kind of get pushed too far and the snap. It happens. It's happened to me, I'll admit it.

My point being what I said first post, people need to start being more reasonable, respectful and less bile and disdain , threats and blackmail and listed many examples such 'fans' used attack Bioware and staff. I provided links to back up such claims while you went on a personal attack and made claims of myself which you did not back up.

I have to say I agree. I find this "hold the line" thing kind of distrubing. An writer sits down to create a piece of work and pours their soul in to it. They create something they feel is powerful and moving and resolves the story they have been telling. Then just because a vocal group of individuals don't like it they are expected to change their story. That's akin to going back and changing Lord of the Rings to a slap happy road trip. This kind of loops back to an "ownership" argument regarding art. Art for the viewer versus Art for art's sake. Frankly I'm of the opinion the artist creates the work for themselves, they put it out there for people to take from it what they will. Mass Effect 3 was a poigniont story with a powerful conclusion. It's like in Serenity, no one wanted Wash to die. But we needed him to die, we needed to be reminded that the universe isn't shiny and things don't always turn out the way we hope.

My God, do you make a hobby of repeating the same tired arguments that have nothing to do with what we're actually objecting to? We don't mind Shepard dying or the ending not being sunshine and roses, we just want it to make sense --- as in, why did the Normandy leave the battle and zip off into hyperspace? Also, as it stands, you're comparison isn't quite accurate, because in ME everyone (except perhaps those on the Normandy) is going to die of starvation due to lack of resources with a population that depends on the relays, and even if some places make it, Earth is definitely screwed due half of it being reduced to firey rubble while its population triples.

How about no? Changing fanbases becomes more and more regular in EA business practice. They have what they have. They pulled thing that we hate, like false advertising, and we're not going to be polite about it in any way. Not blatantly disrespectful, but also not 'polite' to the point of "heey... hey? mister?.. I'm sorry, but could you NOT LIE TO US again? No? Okay, I'm sorry to disturb you, I understand".

Again, I fail to see the point of making this thread. It's like me making a thread

"People are mean in America. Those people need to stop being mean. I have 10 documented examples of people being mean, to prove that in fact people are mean. People, stop being mean". What does that accomplish, exactly?
