I always complete an rpg and never play thru it a 2nd time. However this may be the game that has me playing thru it a 2nd time. Is there a ton of replayabilty in this game?
I know there are 6 different origins to start from but after the short 1-2 hour origin starts does the game become the same quest, story line and plot lines?
Why do people play thru an RPG a 2nd time? Generally the story is the same with some minor side plot changes, so why do people do it?
Is it best to play the 6 different origins right after each other and and then proceed to the main game? Will this give me a better feel for the different perspectives thru the game?
How "replayable" is this game

Besides the effects of origins in the game (while not drastic, they do affect various interactions your have throughout the game), there are other replayability considerations:
1. The combination of followers you take with you. Different combinations will comment on different things, and their banter will change depending on who else you've got in your party. Morrigan and Dog's interactions with each other will be very different than Morrigan and Alistair's, for example, and even different from Leliana and Dog's.
2. There are sometimes very different ways to complete quests, so you might want to try "the other way" on a subsequent playthrough. These can be quite significantly different.
3. Further on follower interaction, you might want to try angering some of your followers some time, or try to make them your best friend, irrespective of a romance.
4. There are a lot of little things that are hard to find in the game, from side quests to items to certain NPCs to little bits of interesting lore. I doubt it's possible to find everything in a single playthrough.
5. We've mentioned random encounters before. Some of them are very rare and hard to get to, indeed.
6. Forget about origin stories! There are some interactions that depend on gender or class!
