 a nice little trick i found while playing with the mantis is to simply half reload. if you use a power while reloading you can easily interrupt the relaods animation, if you wait for shots to reset to 1 and the use your power right away you can get your next shot off much sooner, allowing you to maintain a constant barrage of bullets. this also works if your powers are on cool down, pressing the button will still interrupt the reload. This trick works with every gun (though its not always convenient and the timing differs) and i find to be very helpful on large groups or larger enemies. Hope this helps!
