Ending "controversy" is beyond ridiculous.

Sorry I don't read fairy tales.
-Doesnt matter. You still need to explain to these people they need psychiatric help. Im sure that will go over just fine. And when you are done with the bible there are a plethora of other books and scriptures you can dig into. Plus you had better start defaming all of those of faith who promoted science and logic. Because obviously they too needed help. And still do as many of science are still of faith.
You have alot of work ahead of you. Better get started.
I'd love to see him try this in Iran with the Quran. I'd like to see how long he lasted before he was executed for blasphemy or something. We could even place bets. Okay, so no bets. That's a little too much. But, you see what I mean.
Sorry I don't live in a barbaric country where women are like cattle and everyone is forced to have religion shoved down their throats.
True, that's what it's like there, in my opinion as well. But your response was clearly an emotional one. So why would you have an emotional attachment to people in a country you don't live in, either? You don't know them any more than you could a plastic disc.

The outcry over the ending strikes me as absurd and histrionic. Your assertion that I'm being patronizing is false. I'm simply urging people to "get a life". To see grown persons act this way towards their electronic friends and space waifus is disturbing. Forgive me for pouring salt in your wound.
Getting a life wouldnt help much. I mean, I HAVE a life and it is prety damn cool, except for the fact I occasionally have to go to university or such things.
Anyways, the point is, there is pretty much nothing to complain about. I mean, no Evil Lord wants to kill my village or something, the government sucks but not enough so to become a terrorist and all.
It is important to complain about bad endings in video games because complaining about my life would be a bit hypocritical, seeing how life looks for others. Most of the world actually.

This is has been blown out of proportions,I get what OP is trying to say. You'd expect people to let this go by now.
Somebody wrote that people deserved a reward for all those hours of hard work. Really? You make it sound like this is a job and you didn't enjoy playing it. You played because you liked playing it for whatever reason and now the tale has come to its end and you're not happy with the way it ended. Very sad, let's just whine about it.
-Peak-end rule?
True enough. Nice link.
Sure it's like this... which is worse. an absolutely ****ty day at work were nothing goes right and everyone is run ragged and getting snarky. but the boss comes out in the last five minutes with a Starbucks catering pack full of coffee and lemon bars and humbly says 'Thanks Guys I know it was hard but you kicked ass today"
or a briliant day. nothing goes wrong at work. you're in the zone. you're a champ. and then in the last ten minutes you trip and fall on your face in something nasty, ruin some of your best clothes and then the boss rages on you in front of your coworkers for having a ' sloppy appearance' and then someone steps on your heels as you line up to punch out.
Which day would cause your spouse to seek out either the booze and/or the hagan-daz as you spilled your guts coming in through the door?

To think that a piece of entertainment could actually depress a person is incredibly sad. The ending is... well, it is what it is.
But to engender feelings of anguish and despair, leaving you shaking your fists in rage? Seriously? It may be a stereotype to say this, but... you know. Go outside. Foster relationships with actual people. Soak up some sunshine. It's just a videogame. If you feel it is more than that, consider reevaluating your lifestyle, because you've lost yourself in a fantasy world.

But getting out more usually results in wishing you didnt, hating all of humanity, and deciding that maybe you should sign up for WoW after all.Dean_the_Young wrote...
