last playthrough i was a male city elf duelist rogue it was fun as hell but now i don't know which i wanna be now i wanna do something more ranged and female lol but heres my problem

Archer- althrough the weakest build in manys thoughts i wanna try to prove others wrong but heres my problem Warrior least to me doesn't seem like it would be a good Archer and it doesn't get to unlock skill then theres a Rogue but the thing is i was already a rogue i wanna be a Archer but to get some good stuff i need to be a rogue maybe im just picky but theres my problems

Mage- this one seems fun and i love Jowan i felt very attached and sorry for this guy least to me i thought of him as a friend :) i know you can become a battlemage or a warrior mage but i don't want too but heres my little problem i have to limit my spells a bit cause this playthrough im gonna be playing on nightmar all my powerful spells i can't use that much which sucks and i don't know if i want to be a make cause of that again maybe im picky but please help :(

second question don't have to answer this if you don't want too

Archers can actually have great damage. It's a bit tricky to build one, but if you do it right you'll see lots of satisfying numbers. Rogue vs. Warrior is much debated. I recommend taking a look here.

Mages are insanely overpowered. Simple as that. At the start of the game they start out kind of slow, but once you get some area-of-effect spells you'll be destroying everything. Keep in mind, taking the Arcane Warrior specialization doesn't mean you have to melee. My Blood Mage/Arcane Warrior rarely, if ever, used a sword. Arcane Warrior gives insane defenses. What you want to do is activate your Arcane Warrior sustainables with your blue bar, turn on Blood Magic, and spam your area-of-effects. Then you can sit back and watch the pretty colors going up, tossing a spell at any pesky archers or mages not inside your AoE.

Mage - Magic stat only, Maybe a few in consitution after you hit 36 magic, but no more than that.
Save tomes for when you and your other mage hit 14, do not use them before.
Start with cold till Cone.
then glyphs till repulsion for combo
7 - arcane warrior: dont spec it, just use it to equip armor, not weapons. stick with staff (animation issue causes huge cast times.)
heal
then focus on getting Mana Clash
rejuv
regen
mass rejuv
14 - spec bm, use 2 tomes, only get 3 skills in BM, slave is crap
from here take your pick, I personally like maxing arcane as the staff damage becomes incredible, but you can get Crushing Prison/Hexes/Drain Life/Lightning bolt.

Wynn makes a great 2nd Blood mage as well, get haste on her asap. With Sten as your tank with Indominable on, she can use Earthquake and then the both of you can go nuts.

Leiliana can go ranged rogue to stay out of the earthquake and you can play her so you can have that archer you wanted. Blood mages run better off tactics anyway.

If you want tactics on Blood Mages, let me know and I write up a script for you.
