That would be very identical to bit torrenting, which is obviously not something that would be implemented.
1) It would allow free sharing of game files, especially ones that were paid for.
2) If it were to be implemented to allow legit downloads, it would take your uploading bandwidth unwillingly.
3) qued downloads are fairly useless in my opinion. If you want it..you download it, if not..dont.

no no what i meant by qued downloads, is that you get on your pc, choose what of the user created content you want, and add it to your download list on your account
then when you log onto your xbox it will show in the "downloads" section that you have things that you wish to download
and no i didnt mean anything close to torrenting. i mean,i could sit here and go into very deep detail of how they would restrict it, but i mean, it would essentially be like adding another section to xbox live.
wich you can pay for things on your pc, ont he xboxlive page, and then go and download later onto your xbox, and it keeps track of everything you have paid for.
so yeah.

IIRC, it's Tevinter style plate. Juggernaut was Tevinter as well.SLPr0 wrote...
Come on BioWare get a grip you can't keep using that damn model, its not common in Ferelden human, dwarven or elven smithery. In fact its not even common Orlesian smithery....just where does that kind of smithing design come from?

That sword is actually on the cover of The Stolen Throne, held by Maric.
Though it looks more blue than gold.
I'm looking at the cover and the design is somewhat similar but its a two handed sword and due to the logo I can't tell what the blade looks like beyond about halfway up the blade.
The lore of the blade in the picture is its a sword found on a corpse of a dwarf in the Deep Roads, which indicates to me Lyrium folded smithing of potentially ancient and lost techniques.
There is a Lyrium Folded Greatsword which has a similar appearrance as well but is much more....massive looking and a bit too Final Fantasy.
Its possible that the blade design being reused over and over here as a longsword is attempting to capture the design of Maric's Blade, which, as stated, was a 2 hander, which confuses me even more as to why Starfang's 2 handed variant turns up a Common Human Greatsword model with the Starfang texture map on it.

From a story perspective its pretty much the worst choice for the player to wear, why not just put Duncan's armor in it? that would be socially acceptable to wear in the gameworld.

At least that armor has a unique model, which is extremely rare in this game. Everything else has at least 10 recolors it seems.

Sounds like you're just nerd raging for the sake of nerd raging.
Because god forbid a WARRIOR has a collection of WEAPONS, eh? Just because he didn't use it doesn't mean he didn't own it. I mean, christ, you get Duncan's Shield in the game. In the regular, DLC-less, didn't-pay-extra-for-it game.
Duncan is a rogue.
People collect things, use different fighting styles for different situations, and to explain it in terms of game mechanics, lore characters aren't bound by limited talent points.
I don't know why I'm trying, though. You're also nitpicking (yes, you are) about how the sword is shaped. It's a fantasy game. You're saying a sword in a fantasy video game looks too weird. Think about that.
um, it's nerdrage. especially when the dlc is not out and all you're lookign at is teasers for the dlc. can we at least give them until it comes out nefore we nerdrage?
A fantasy video game that has a raft of established racial variant arms design in regards to armors and weapons...then this one "unique" blade that has no lore. no racial arms design premise, and no one, and I mean no one, in the game, actually wields one other than the player.
Its a blatant attempt to make a "cool sword", when what they really didn't consider is that most of the "common" racial variant models are very cool all by themselves.
All I'm asking is what smith is making this sword? Its not available anywhere in the standard installation other than from the Gaxkhang Keening Blade drop, it reappears in the Warden's Keep DLC as the Starfang Longsword and now we see it here in someones hand that is wearing the set of armor that Cailan was wearing at Ostagar.
Is it a Tevinter style blade? Is it a Fade forged blade? What is the lineage and lore to it? Thats what I'm arguing here.
Why use that sword model when you could take...for example the "Warden's Longsword" model, give it a nice texture map like that, and it would be even cooler and more lore appropriate?
Thats my complaint. Its not really nerd rage, its just the sword is stupidly out of place even in a fantasy game because said fantasy game already has a heavily represented and described set of racial arms design variants and that sword design fits NONE of them.

I found it in the Tower of mages, can't remember if it was the templar who was getting seduced by the desire who was giving him the illusion that she was his wife and living happy with his family or some random group of templar's that were possesed
The seduced Templar drops the Templar armor, another one drops the helm. You can find and buy the knight-commanders helm and armor, which are better versions of the set, same appearance though.

Talk about nerdy
I'm not ashamed of being a lore focused role player. I also don't really have a problem being called a nerd, or being a nerd seeing as its apparently made me who I am today...which I'm quite happy with really.
I really like the way you think, you sir have certainly out-classed ALL of the comments from the would be cool gamers.
Admit it folks, we're all just a bunch of nerds.
So, embrace it, be one with the nerdiness. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie] Lest we forget ... this is a game and we're supposed to be having fun. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

If the survivor is Duncan, and he becomes a party member, I'm going to commit terrorisms. The fate of the world is on your hands, Devs.
As for the weapon/armor discussion, the fact that despite being accused of regicide, you're going to run around Ferelden is his pants screaming about how innocent your order is... my disbelief has been suspended so far to accept that as being plausible that I can't even care about blade inconsistency.
This, definitely this I agree with. Running around in the king's armor... it would only be plausable story-wise if your character happened to decide to return to OStagar after the Landsmeet.

Eh, sometimes I think its slightly unfair that a person with PC can get a mod to change something like appearance of an armor or such, but consoles get stuck with vanilla version of the game.
I'd be happy if somehow it was possible to download/install a texture mod onto 360 version of Dragon Age, but still be legal.
That's what ye get for having a console...
They're much cheaper to make and as such much cheaper to buy...
You get what You pay for in Hardware...
If You could do the same things on a console as on a pc, wouldn't it just become a pc?
Especially since a 360 is made of outdated pc parts more or less...
And yes, a tad sad that there are so few models out there for all kinds of stuff, but really a tad more irritated about every single human male having the same build, just as every single female human... *Apart from morrigan in original robes*
Same goes for each race... I mean how hard could it have been to alter bodymodels ever so slightly?
Having a bunch of same height, same build clones with different heads is a copout...
Is that explained anywhere in the Lore? All kids are of one age/height then they morph into adults of a singular cloneform... Cheap... Much worse than a single swordmodel issue could ever be...

I digress, though. Recycling models for DLC is something of a letdown, all things considered.

Too bad Blizzard reuses models all the time.Seifz wrote...
As far as I'm concerned, BioWare is just lazy when it comes to armor and weapon models. If Blizzard can adds hundreds of new weapon and armor models with every patch, then surely BioWare could have created more than a handful in five years. That's one of the biggest shortcomings with this game.

I understand them needing to make use of every model they've sent through the assembly line, but that one suit of armor really should be special. It's the suit of armor that says "I'm the king" in the ending, the suit of armor that sets the king apart from just the grunts in Ostagaar. Unless this quest is handled well, I'm afraid this'll just turn out to be just another suit of armor to toss onto the pile.
Warden's Keep had a bit of history behind its suit of armor (if you attach it to the individual you got it from) but it just seemed like that individual was a fleshy treasure chest. I expect a better (story-based) reason for my character to wear this armor, other than "because it looks cool and the king didn't need it".
At the very least, restrict it to nobility.
