LoL the ebay seller fails. Not because of what he is selling, but because under item specifics he puts, "Genre: Action RPG".

That's capitalism for you lol. $12 seems a little steep for two items. If someone thinks it's worth it more power to them, seems like a ripoff to me.

Well I was just trying to point out that selling two items that come with the game is kind of a dick move.

Looks like a gamestop employee stole the rave cards and is selling them for personal profit.

Well, a few days ago someone gave a few of those codes away for free, back then a bunch of people started screaming "Thief! Murderer!", but selling them is ok? O_o

I mean... One person takes something and passes it on, which makes them a thief, another takes something and starts selling it, which makes them a hero?

Now that on the other hand is probably really not a problem, it's a code for a digital download, as long as it's on some EA server and the internet doesn't suddenly stop working it's available in virtually infinite quantities, I doubt GS would risk the ire of customers (Even just a few) over something as trivial as generating and handing out new codes.

Still, if I compare the two, yeah, this one's definitely the scummy one, unless he pre-ordered 8 CE's for some reason ;)

I'm not taking a strong stand on what the guy is doing, but I would point out that each code is only good ONCE, and there IS a limited number of them.  He is indeed, risking the customers' ire, though I suspect he doesn't care and isn't thinking of his employer at all.

Hey if it's good for Bioware to sell items then it's good for us too :)

I asked if there was any pre-order bonus for the game and was told "no". I'm a little upset I didn't get any goodies now. Hopefully they will have some there when I go to pick it up.

Why is that a fail? It's what EA is marketing the game as. The whole ad campaign smacks more of an action game than any semblance of a CRPG.

Acutally it is a problem, cause as odd as it seems the codes are not unlimited.  There was a problem with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 where the Juggernaut code was posted by some d-bag on the internet, so when we got home with our legitimate code, we got a "this item is out of stock" error, because they didn't want everyone and their mother getting one.  In this case, it seems that the cards have separate codes, not just one overall one, so it may well be the case that the codes are a one time use, thereby screwing the people that preordered and now won't get one.  You could also say, "well they can just print more."  But they won't.  Ever.

On the bright side, there is the slimmest of slim chances that you might be able to send EA an e-mail and get a code if you got jipped from yours, but I kind of doubt it.

[sigh] I think there's been enough riffing on EA the last few months.  If the games from BioWare (including this one) are still the same quality, I honestly don't care if the marketing consists of a bunch of hairy dudes yelling "YARRR!" while wearing nothing but rain parkas and kilts.

Though that would make for a pretty funny--and disturbing--ad. ^_^

I hate ebay.

It's created a generation of profiteering [random obscenities deleted].
