1. A deus-ex-machina superweapon. Shouldn't have used it at all. SC2 used it, and I consider SC2 to be one of the worst story ever told in years.

2. ME2. They didn't continue the story of ME1. In ME1, we established that reapers do exist. In ME2, all of sudden everybody becomes dumb and disregards the reaper presence despite eye-witnessing it in the battle of citadel. Furthermore, what was the point of recruting crewmembers if they don't play significant roles in ME3... <_<

3. ME3 plots. There had been thousands of cycles before. Many of them must have been perfectly prepared, yet failed to survive. What's so special about us that allow this cycle to defeat reapers while all the infighting and noncooperations are going on between races?

4. SOOOOO many unexplained plots. We don't want DLCs explaining the main plots. Otherwise call them ME4.

5. Please stop using cliche "mastermind." it's just plain stupid. Again, SC2 did this and destroyed their story. "Look, Overmind wasn't a bad guy. he was actually a good guy who came to us to warn us of a greater danger." ME is not like that, but the reapers SHOULD HAVE remained as ultimate villains.

6. the story fails to achieve narrative continuity. First the reaper acknowledgement I mentioned above. Second, we stop reapers from returning in ME2. In ME3, this is again disregarded and reapers are here just by walking. WHY.... :crying:

7. Ending is a pure joke. Hundreds of hours playtime to have a choice between different colors? What does it even mean? I'm sure you had something in your mind when you neglected Drew Karpyshyn's, the writer for ME1 and ME2, original ending. But as long as it is unexplained, it is a plothole.

8. Why are reapers so stupid all of sudden. No conspiracy, no tactics, no taking initiative, all just SLOWLY fighting, doing nothing meaningful. What the hell...

9. I am running out of numbers so I will spare the last two sections for my ideas. For the sake of narrative continuity, council and all races should have acknowleged the reaper threat in ME2. ME3's plots of recruting allies and building a superweapon should have been the main plots of ME2, because ME2 as of now is pretty much meaningless.

10. Ditch Cerberus. Reapers should have been the ultimate villain, and they would have shown the true epicness. If I were the scenario writer, I would have made it so that each reaper feels more intelligent and manacing than the illusive man. :alien:

ME2 should have been a story of preparing for reaper threats while Cerberus and Collectors disrupt it. Collectors want reapers to return, and Cerberus want the superweapon to use it for their advantage. Shepard completes superweapon and defeat collectors at the end of ME2.

At the start of ME3, Harbinger reveals that all superweapon thingy was his plan, not the prothean's, as reapers can not return by standard FTL drive due to the distance between the dark space and the known galaxy. Harbinger reveals that Crucible is actually A MASS RELAY, the third conspiracy in case indoctrinated Cerburus and Collectors fail. And the reaper armada shows up by Crucible and blow the earth, annahilating 90% of human population. :crying:

Shepard is shocked as he is the one responsible for the return of the reapers, and at the same time the only one who can stop them. From that point, every fight is more desperate and final, and they are against reapers instead of solving trivial, dumb problems for other races as we do in ME3. At the end, I would have made many choices available.

1. Shepard escapes with a few survivals. He manages to destroy all mass relays, leaving 99.9% of popluation to be slaughtered by reapers, hoping they could rebuild a new world outside of reapers' reach.

2. Shepard choose to freeze himself abandoning everything he loves in order the end the cycle. He will wake up every 50k years to coordinate preparation for the next cycle. After something like millions of years and tens of cycles, he finally manages to defeat reapers.

3. Shepard choose to destory the citadel and crucible, effectively stopping reapers from returning to the dark space. He can either
a. destroy them for the codestruction of reapers and organics.
b. use them as baits to draw reaper forces into one place, fill citadel with reactive materials, and kamikaze into a star to cause a supernova that wipes out reapers.

and probably more, since it took me 10 sec to come up with these.

:pinched: Sorry, I was enruptured while writing this out... but hey, I like my version better(or any other versions..) over bioware's!

ME trilogy have been the best game I've ever played, but I can't stop thinking that plotwise the series is ranked in order of precidence, ME1 > ME2 > ME3. What a way to end a trilogy.
