I've been reading about the different endings based on the EMS. I always play RPGs as thoroughly as I can to make sure I get everything. I bought every Mass Effect game on the XBOX and played the first 2 several times. I plan to do the same with the third one too. Somehow I managed to lose my saved games, so I had to use the editor on my PC to replicate my decisions. This made it impossible to see the consequences of DLC without replaying, but that's my own fault.

When I heard that multi player affected the ending I was a little miffed, a Gold account has never been required to get the most out of Mass Effect before but now I feel like I'm missing out. I tried the multiplayer demo and to be honest I didn't enjoy it. I would have given it a go to boost galactic readiness if it wasn't for the extra cost.

So now my situation is clear I have a few of questions.

If I use the 2 day pass I got with the game how much will I be able to affect the GR?

Will that change last forever or it go back down over time?

As XBOX owners and potentially the longest running loyal supporters of this series, does anyone else feel a little put out that we are the only ones who have to pay extra to get the best out of it?
