They look very similar to humans in the original concept art.

This is exactly what I'm keep saying,and I always believe if an alien species can be attractive to human, their physical appearance must have some resemblance to human and are sexually attractive by human standards,like asari,vulcan,zeltron.....etc.

As a human,I definitely wouldn't date a hanar.

To me it's 9). Just because I don't care if Tali looks "too human" (every species, save the hanar are humanoid) and I always thought of them as the elves of ME.

The Elves of Mass Effect are very clearly the Asari. What with the huge life-spans, obsession with the arts, constant persuit of idealist notions of peace and diplomacy and the fact that they're all flawlessly beautiful. 

Quarians are very clearly the gypsies of Mass Effect.

I vote for 10 or 11. She's an alien, and should look a bit alien - while her photo from ME3 is too human.

I never really had any preferences for what Tali, or Quarians in general looked like. As long as it was consistent with what we already knew (Strange ears, human-like face) I'd be happy, so I'm satisfied with what we got. Even in future games the Quarians will be defined by their suits anyway, they'll always be the key visual element.

So I'd have to go with the one we have. It fit all the criteria and I don't really mind it, honestly. It looks incredibly human when you see only the face, but I have a feeling that if you saw a suitless Quarian from head to toe they would look much more alien, what with their chicken legs and disproportionate body. 

I am hoping that we get to see some maskless Quarians in-game in the future, male or female. I suppose anythings possible in the future.

Oh christ, what's wrong with you people? The image they selected was perfect. Hammasa Kohistani is a beautiful woman. & I also enjoy the fact she's of Afghan heritage (meaning she's a part of the wider Persian peoples of Central Asian). We also had the Iranian Shoreh Aghdashloo voicing Admiral Raan. It's not simply a coincidence that the minute I met Tali in ME1, I was instantly reminded of the Middle East & Central Asian cultures.

& what's with all this, "it fits with the alien theme" nonsense? Is it really difficult to imagine another species that resembles human beings? Sometimes you people are intolerably annoying.

I don't have much problem with them choosing an image or the image they chose, but I think they could have spent more time photoshopping it. The hand wasn't done very well, and they should have added a background that made more sense (like the inside of a ship). I don't seee when Tali would have been standing maskless on a field of grass on a planet. I'm ok with the concept though, and I hope they expand upon it in the future (actual in-game model please!)

It's called Fictions and people are having fun choosing what they like.  I don't think it has anything to do with the Stock-Photo BioWare used.

I agree that the girl in the BioWare picture is very pretty indeed but that doesn't mean people can't have fun.  Cheer up dude.  Everyone has opinions, it's good to express them.

The fan-made version of the canon suddenly won me. Before that, 1 and 2 were my favourite choices. 1 because it looks very alien, but at the same time exotic and beautiful. 2 seems more human-like, a decent second choice.

But seriously, the new one is all I need. Build on it Bioware! Make an ingame face for Tali in the coming DLC!
