It isn't fair that *very minor spoilers* Steve and Samantha are exclusive to one sex.

What I mean if that is isn't fair, tollerent, or appropriate for Bioware to lean and pander to one audience demographic in particular. What about all the bisexuals and straights in the room? It wasn't fair in Mass Effect 2, nor is it fair now. I felt extremely gutted when my male Shepard couldn't romance Samantha and likewise when my lady Shepard couldn't romance that sexy caramel studmuffin known as Cortez.

And this isn't limited to Cortez and Samantha, there are more examples of this in the game which I will not go into detail on right now. Just as I was gutted that I couldn't enter a straight romance with the two characters mentioned above, I was gutted and my stomach was wrenched and turned inside out when I realize I couldn't take my bromance with Garrus to the next level. I felt horrible! Its like a tapeworm inside of you, forcing its way up your throat and out your mouth in a euphoria of vomit and guilt! That is how it felt!!!

Before you start labeling me, and complain that I'm a homophobe that is intollerant ect, ect, ect. Let me suggest something, I would like it if every character was bi, so that everyone could be appeased, just like in Dragon Age 2, minus the Anders.

While I'm perfectly fine with Sam and Cortez being restricted to one sex, I found it extremely odd that Ashley was kept straight and not made bisexual like Kaidan.

Not sure if this thread is supposed to be serious or a parody...

MaleShep has enough females to survive. He doesn't need another romance.

Plus everyone being bi is a very stupid idea.

I think it actually adds an interesting twist to the romance subplots by having characters who are exclusively gay/lesbian. It really sort of introduces yet another aspect of galactic society, and explores how it's viewed in general.

Well you shouldn't be perfectly fine, additudes like that are what help bring about this mess. Give me a good reason why Steve and Samantha should strictly be gay romance options.

DA2 was a hot mess. It's not realistic for everyone to be Shep-sexual and tiring to be hit on by *everybody*. I like the some straight, some gay, some bi idea. It increases replayability.

Also, it's probably better if you don't put the spoilers in the thread title.

Give me a good reason why gay and lesbian people should strictly be gay. /sarcasm

Its good that characters are given their own basic sexual preference and integrity.

As far as I'm concerned making as many characters in a game :

a) sexually available

and

B) bisexual so as to not hinder attempts by the player whatever the gender of the main character

is actually hurting the NPC's uniqueness.

I have to admit that being friendzoned by Sam was actually kind of funny, lol.

Probably because from day one I was like 'right, Shep, hit it'

I sincerely hope you are trolling.

Making every character bisexual is just stupid. It was stupid in Dragon Age 2, it would be stupid now. For some characters it works, but certainly not for all and it will only feel forced and give them a lack of integrity.

It is good they made homosexual exclusive relationships instead of just making current straight relationships bisexual. Reminds me of Anders' ridiculous character change.

Somehow I suspect the OP isn't being quite serious. :)

In real life, you have gay people, you have bi people, and you have straight people - you even have asexual, pansexual and what-ever-prefix-I-forgot-sexual people. Someone you find attractive and would like to date may turn out not to be attracted to your gender. That's life.

Making everyone bisexual would be stretching credulity to a breaking point.

No. We need straight/homosexual/bi characters. If every character goes bi then... just no.

So just because someone is bi, then they are lacking integrity? How does that work out? I can see them lacking integrity if they skank around, but please some people can't help feeling attracted to both sexes. Anyhow sorry if I come off all angry at you or anything, nothing personal. I just disagree with yah, that's all.

Why do you find this odd? Some people just aren't gay or bi. Ash is one of those that's not. Simple.

Admittedly, I prefer the "everyone is bi" approach of DA2 (the only thing this piece of sh!t game got right).

But then, compared to ME1 and 2, ME3 was a huge step in the right direction.
