It isn't fair that *very minor spoilers* Steve and Samantha are exclusive to one sex.

I see what you're saying, but I just have to disagree with you. I really don't think it's necessary that they are ALWAYS available. If you want them available, you'll make them available. As long as you CAN,I don't see the problem.LPPrince wrote...
You CAN. Doesn't mean that it'll ALWAYS be that way. That's my point.
Hell, even a new player in ME3 can screw themselves if they choose Kaidan as the sacrifice before they start their game.
Unless Garrus is available to new FemSheps.

Why do people think that she will always survive ? I never liked her, and I always liked Kaidan.

Somehow I suspect the OP isn't being quite serious.
In real life, you have gay people, you have bi people, and you have straight people - you even have asexual, pansexual and what-ever-prefix-I-forgot-sexual people. Someone you find attractive and would like to date may turn out not to be attracted to your gender. That's life.
Making everyone bisexual would be stretching credulity to a breaking point.
Not to mention Fox news going crazy over it.

I'd feel sorrier for FemShep players if some obnoxious ones weren't going "OMG how dare male Shep have more male options than me! It's not like I've had a choice since game 1! They're a minority (and the hypocrisy with that always makes me LMAO)! I SHOULD HAVE MORE OPTIONS!!!111 HOW DARE MALE SHEP HAVE 2 MALE OPTIONS AND I HAVE TO SHARE ONE OF THEM!!!1"
So yeah can't really feel pity with that level of obnoxiousness.
Going to have to disagree here.
Like LPPrince said, can't generalize a whole group based on a few. I'm sure there were people just like you described within the group of people fighting for the Cortez and Kaidan as male options. Doesn't make them any more right than the "obnoxious femshep" individuals.

Gives me more ways to play since I don't tend to play female voiced protagonists. (and in BW games can't stand playing them).
@Above poster: And I'm sure there's those who feel no pity for certain screechers in FFTL not getting what they want either. Maybe if I saw some decent femShep players trying to at least argue against that but none of them are. So it sours me on the whole group. Probably not right of me but eh. It's not like my opinion matters to them (or vice versa) so no loss.
As for generalizing. I'm not. Not once have I said they're all like that. Merely that I can't feel much sympathy because of the ones that DO act like that.

I was honestly more angry that Kaiden was an optional same-sex romance and Ashley wasnt but whatever. Be happy with what you got! OVerall I think MAss Effect 3 pulled off believable same-sex romance better then DA2.

This is no secret, that bisexuals are minority - most people clearly identify themselves as hetero or homosexual. Do i feel it's unfair, that a certain guy/gal is not interested in me? No, it's their sexual orientation, and if RPG's want to "recreate" real relationships they should have characters with established sexual orientation (s/g/bi), and not make characters trying to "fit" the player. Player should fit the world, not the other way around.
I wouldn't mind one or two bisexual characters, but making everyone in the game bisexual is just absurd.

While I'm perfectly fine with Sam and Cortez being restricted to one sex, I found it extremely odd that Ashley was kept straight and not made bisexual like Kaidan.
Kaiden wasn't made bisexual, it was clear in ME1 he was bisexual. But biowares stance was that Male Shep was straight. Reversing that mindset, kaiden becomes open to male shep in 3.

As for me. No I won't be happy as long as someone's restricted. I really wanted my dude Shep to romance Garrus. Like burning.

Garrus is a established character, and making him bi would be hurtful to the story. Steve and Samantha are also decently designed characters, and "bending" story just to fit the play would make it seem forced.Ryzaki wrote...

Well, hey. You understand the plight from FemShep players. Suppose that's what matters in the grand scheme of it. Poor execution from anyone can sour just about anything, but I'm definitely sure there's enough of that going around on the forums as it is. :/

Actually Garrus not being open to Male Shep doesnt make sense at all because, him being a Turian, Male and Female Shepard are BOTH about as wrong, and visually unattractive, to him as a cow would be to a human.
No, actually more so because a cow has the same kind of Amino Acids and is therefore about a billion times more similar to humans than turians are.
Sad but true.
