If you are romancing the VS, and for some reason you decided to sacrifice your lover at Virmire, Liara shows up at your bedroom. If you tell Leliana you like shoes, too, she will throw a temper tantrum if you romance anyone else.

Well i dont know about ME1 (strictly liara-only for me^^) but in Lelianas case that must be a bug, and probably fixed in some patch or the other, because it didnt happen to me.

@ Ryzaki & KingDan97 -- What is was saying is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to be ninjamanced by Steve, but his friendship dialog reads just like the sort of dialog that started ninjamances in ME1 and DA:O. Can you imaging Liara or Leliana's reaction to the hero telling them "I'll be there for you"?

I suppose I see your point, although there was always a neutral option for those characters. Bioware bascially decided with ME3 that if there would be only 2 choices that neither would be inherently horrid to say to someone.

Sadly. maker knows my Shep wanted to be a douche to certain characters and couldn't. Bleh. <_<

Which characters can't you be mean to? I was nice to my entire squad in the playthrough I did, but if I ever import my renegade characters, I'd like to know who I get force-friended with. I know Anderson and Liara at least are givens (especially with those forced flashbacks).<_<

Hi there Liara, Tali and Garrus. (And yes I know you can do a certain action but Shep apologizes for it. That's not being douchey).

I have noticed that my "evil" Shepard had some different autodialog than my "Clark Kent" Shepard, but even then she seemed pretty much a [w]itchy friend to the cast. Seem to follow in DA2's footsteps with Hawke's autodialog.

Not if it's the action I'm thinking of...  whatever, I can't be mean to Team Dextro anyway.

Anyway, so that means you can be mean to EDI and Vega? If I ever do a DoucheShep playthrough, this is good to know.

That you know of.

It's kind of obvious.

Is it? You're very good at recognizing sexual preferences then? How do you do that? Since you're talking about "hundreds of people" it must be visual. Or is it smell?

Maybe he can read their auras?

Well that is down to Shep ultimately being not your, but BioWare's character (in spite of them stating otherwise).

He might have located the gay gene, he'd earn a pretty penny if he could present his findings, since they're obviously ireefutable.

Nope douche Shep can't really be mean to anyone on the squad. EDI and Vega included. =]

I don't know what the hell they did to my douche Shep. They took away his spine. :crying:

It isnt, because most homosexuals dont act like Zevran and go all "Hey, look at me, I'm gay, sleep with me, I'm GAAAAY!!!"

I don't know who Zevran is but i'm pretty sure that's an accurate representation. Damn, I couldn't have a conversation with Cortez that didn't involve him being gay so I stopped talking to him after the second time I tried.

Wow.  Just, wow.

The majority of GLBT people are people, just like straight people.

Nah, I think it's just a matter of watching people drink tea or coffee and shouting "AHAA!" every time a little finger is stretched out while lifting the cup.

Why o' why do you people fuss over other characters hitting on your character ?
Just filirting with a person makes you uncomfortable ? do you doubt your willpower or your sexuality ?
You can easily turn them down for wanting more and for the "action" part, no big deal.
Personally I like them hitting on my character and I take it as compliment .

I'll take a gay toggle at the beginning of the game if it makes all the LIs bi.

I'd find that the most stupid thing ever. It's unrealistic and I'd have a hard time taking them seriously if they were all shepsexual.

Anyone who is romanceable is ShepardSexual, you should't be taking Miranda, Jack, Tali, Kaidan, Ashley, Garrus, Cortez, Samantha, Chobot (haha I made a joke!), Thane, Liara, Jacob (another one haha!)... seriously.

They should have made the game more realistic, and randomly selected your sexuality for you at the start of the game, without you being aware of it.

So, for example, a fifth of the Shepards in Mass Effect 3 might find out that they've actually been in the closet all along (if not earlier in the series).

Why has no RPG done this yet?

Actually, only about 1% of the world's population is gay. Bioware panders to that 1% it seems. I don't care who is gay, I just don't want the gay agenda shoved down my throat. And the game should reflect a realistic gay population instead of having 50%+ of the characters in the game gay.

Oh, having the game select a sexuality for the player is one of the worst suggestions I've ever seen.  If I wanted to role play a gay character I would. Having a flag at the beginning of the game would be nice.

Closer to 1 in 10 really.

Nobody is forcing the "Gay Agenda" down your throat. If you need kiddy hand-holders because "OMG I MIGHT HAVE TO SEE TEH GAYS!" in a videogame, you need to grow up. They make it fairly clear in the dialogue options where it's going and you can sidestep it/shut it down with a single mouseclick. You have to actively pursue the romance options for it to go anywhere, nothing forces itself on you.

Crap like this is why the game was getting bombed on metacritic before anyone even had a chance to play the game.

Nobody seems to care if its two women, but zomg two dudes and that's just not right

Hmmm... we must also have an option  to only allow romances/flirting between humans, too. I mean any alien flirting or coming on to Shepard would be icky and cause irreparable psychological damage. ;)

Because of people like the OP. People are easily offended by things that are so inoffensive. You know what you can do in the game when a character starts hitting on you and you're not interested? You can pick the option that states you're not interested. That's all that needs to be done.

Cortez is grieving for his husband, and he feels guilty for being unable and reluctant to move on, despite it being what Robert wanted, so he ends up talking to Shepard about it when Shepard asks. Yeah, that's totally pushing his gay on you. He has more lines about ships than he does about "being gay" unless you romance him.

Would you be complaining about 'not being able to have a conversation that didn't involve him being straight' if it was a wife instead?

Ghost Warrior wrote...

The very option itself is
ridiculous. I'm not sure why I'm arguing here since that's almost
definitely not gonna happen, but I am trying to understand how could
somebody want that? Something that takes a bit of uniqueness of every
character and makes them quite frankly unbelieveble?

I mean whatever, the game is already out and there is no such option,but...I just can't understand you people.

Yes, because Jack would have totally been less unique if fem!Shep could romance her. And is Kaidan less believable now just because m!Shep can romance him?

You're right, of course, but [some] people simply can't handle certain things that exist in the real world and might be mirrored in a game. Rather than accept that something exists and learn to properly handle it since it in no way harms them they instead have to go out of their way to avoid it and erase its existence from anything they do. So, an option to play the game on a "heterosexual" setting would make the entire universe straight and homosexuality would simply not exist... anywhere... ever.

Exactly! Cortez was grieving and mentioned he had lost his husband and later mentions his husband's name in the convos. The point of it all is that he hasn't moved on from the loss. Are homosexuals not allowed to grieve loss while heterosexuals are? A male Shepard can talk to Cortez, support him, tell him that he has to move on, and clearly let Cortez that he's into women, and everything works out just fine. People having an issue with Cortez "always" talking about being gay are simply full of it and, frankly, probably talked to Cortez all of twice and just wrote him off as an evil homosexual character who will never stop talking about being gay.
