I'm not getting into a argument about the points of the ending. Just saying I didn't mind it at all and thats that, I was just saying my 2 cents about future DLC that, might change the ending. It seems people who even remotely mention they didn't mind the ending right now get attacked for their views for no reason.

You claim to being attacked when your views are criticized, because there is no cogent defense for your views.
The Retake Mass Effect movement has been getting bombarded by negative media (fortunately, positive media attention has surfaced), but we did not all hush up. We persisted with our views, presenting logical arguments demonstrating the flaws of the ending.

you can keep your endings. they should be an OPTION.

we just want MORE OPTIONS

This!

This sounds exactly like the argument against S/S LIs in the past... It's asking for an option! Don't want it? Dont take it.

That is actually an awesome comparison. People are wanting to deny others what they want (and were promised) because it somehow invalidates what they have/want (when it doesn't).

If the new ending is released as DLC, and you like the old endings, you can just choose to not download the new content.

The ending cannot be saved in its current state it has zero continuity with the other games and this should be addressed. I'm also of the opinion that if you want to play it as it was released should it be patched/DLC changed then it should be an option should you choose to download it. If you don't want it thats fine too. Just don't expect the rest of us to say ok because 2% of people don't want it then we should listen to them. If you disagree with the BW poll you can use this one: http://www.facebook....MassEffect3Poll

It's not really the first time that games have made things optional, I mean, it's probably a bad thing to compare it to since it's an entirely different game, but COD MW2 and I beileve MW3 both had warnings about skipping scenes, adding new ones, whatever.

in practice it's the same idea. but I'm just afraid they won't want to add/change anything because they're going to feel butthurt that they'll be contradicting or retconing the endings that -THEY- Think are so perfect.

I'm glad you enjoyed the ending, OP. And here's where I think you need to put more thought into:

It's not about what Shepard did, it's about what he DIDN'T do. When the council dismissed the Reaper threat - he rejected them and continued on. When Saren told him to accept the Reapers as an inevitable conclusion - he rejected him and continued on. Shepard never accepts the status quo, and he never bows down.

Then why is it that when the starchild gives him three choices, he simply accepts them without question?

If you liked the ending than don't download the DLC. Simple as that.

OP, just because you may enjoy watching videos of puppies being kicked at the end of an epic adventure movie doesn't mean I should have to. I'm sorry that you like glaring plot holes and poorly executed ideas.

why should new endings nullify the previous ones for those who liked them?

Word. Mass Effect is about choice. Happy with the ending? Choose to believe what you believe. Not happy? Get the DLC that gives it the epic ending it deserves, instead of the abortion of tragic ending it got.

This should be posted about "happy" endings, it rings true for that as well

I accept your opinion and thank you for voicing it, but you don't have to be worried! a DLC is OPTIONAL! If you don't like it, don't buy it! Easy, right? :innocent:

If you honestly expect people to not get pissed if Biwoare does that then you are delusional. DLC that changes the endings would be a slap to the face to many people.

The big question is how many people it ****** off and how many it would make happy. Because if you are just trading some haters for anothe group then you've wasted your time.

It's a game and it can be patched up/ have DLC at any moment.
So BW CAN change the endings. it's just their goodwill.

They probably won't - and I won't support them with my money ever again.
Seems fair to me.

The people who liked the endings are afraid they will like the new ones more, which makes the endings they originally liked...less good.  I guess?

Nobody is asking that they change the existing endings. We just want to be given the chance to earn something better, as we were promised.

If you like these endings, good for you, join the left corner with the rest of the 2% that liked it too and be quiet.
