...and I have no idea why people are whinging and crying and wanting a different ending! Did you want the Hollywood ending where Shepard stands there with a flag in hand, foot on some rubble saying "God bless the Alliance!" ?

Seriously, I really liked the ending so please explaing why people didn't.

well first you might find more opinions in the story forum.

Second, my personal issue is with the holes in the ending not that it isnt "happy." Why is my squad all of a sudden on the normandy and crashing on a paradise planet without a scratch on them when they were supposedly right behind me before i was blasted by harbinger.

There are a number of theories why that are in the story forum. I personally do not think that Garrus would "retreat" so close to the goal if he had not even taken any damage himself.

It boils down to:

-It doesn't make sense because it creates enough plot holes that everyone knows there is stuff (Big stuff like how did everyone make it back to the Normandy, how could Shepard survive the destroy ending, how did Shepard make it back to Earth after the destruction of the Citadel) missing from one event to the next.

-The ending leaves the question of "Unreliable Narrator" and makes the player know that several events that happened or things they were told were a lie or can not be relied on from the perspective of Shepard.

-The ending was intentionally designed in this way to with-hold from the audience this information to make them interact with the game even more outside the context of the game.

-There is a desire for closure for all the characters and people they met similar to what was done in other BW games.

-Players have become VERY attached to the characters and setting over the course of three games and take everything that happens in it personally. (This is probably most important)

I've probably missed a few things but I'm sure others will be along shortly to point them out, if they haven't already.

Shepard was vaporised in my ending so he didn't appear on Earth. Unless you are saying the man at the end of the credits is Shepard?

It didnt make any sense.

Simple really.

How did TIM get on the citadel?
How did TIM "control" Shep and Anderson during the chat?
How did my squad get back on teh Normandy?
Why is the Normandy fleeing?
Theres many many more questions that the "ending" raises and doesnt answer.

hence why it doesnt makes any sense.

If you have a lot of war assets (4000+) maybe you should take a look at the other endings then, or you have something to look foward to in NG+.

if you pick destroy ending and have enough assets you get an extra little scene.

I guess peoplw watch endings without actually paying attention? I dislike them for the reasons above and serious lack of replay value. I urge you to play the game again and get what the devs call a different ending but we the fans call a different color. If i sounded like a douche that was not my intent but beat the game and ask your self why the normandy is in space.

Seriously? I guess you didn't bother reading any of the threads relating to why the ending was bad.

Yeah, thats exactly what we wanted ::rolls::

But if you thought the ending was fine, then more power to you.

no we dont want the hollywood ending.... we want the ending we where promised .. OUR ENDINGS based on OUR DECISIONS

Not some prescripted A.B. or C. choice .... its just retarded and if you dont see this well........ i will let your imagination take over at that point

(Games was advertised as an epic 3rd and final installment that would answer all your questions and allow the player to end the game based on your deciesons from the previous titles... (it left more questions and more plot holes than a vorchas ass)

GUESS WHAT it DIDNT you must be a new ME fan or something... .... tsk tsk.  nubs

i have all 3 games.   ALL DLC avalitble for all 3 games... i have all the comics... and the books... read them all.. played all the games multiple times with different relationships... endings.... paragon//// renegade...

This 3rd game makes about 5-8 saves and playthroughs i had a Moot Point because of this generic end... and i say ending cause really there is only 1 with 3 small variations.

(I hope to god Shepard was indroctronated and never left Earth and was undercontrol by Harbinger in order to force shepard to fail.)THen you get to play the real ending....

I can hope right

I was thoroughly confused by it...made zero sense, I've seen some theories about it, but the state of the current ending"s" is poor from a storytelling standpoint

23 seconds of a Mabe isnt closure!

yes but this decision undos your hard work to make the quarians and geth get along... that part of the game can be skipped now... Who gives a **** about the geth and quarian war if all your gonna do is undo what you work so hard on trying to fix. And so much for Teaching EDI how to be a human........ what a waste... that was sad

Organics and Synthetics getting along... but yet you cant argue that point the the ADHD boy god you can only accept what he offers

MY SHEPERD WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFER FROM THE REAPERS!@!!!!!

Sheperd and the Bioware writing team were indoctrinated.... you wake up at the bottem of the beam never have left .. with Harbinger standing over you controlling your mind making you think your making a choice...

Then you get up and Shoot him in is big reaper ballz  and the real ending insues......

hope.......
