If bioware would just come out and say

"even though we don't agree and like our ending, we will give the players what they want"
or
"we are working on and ending DLC to please the fans."

this whole thing will quite down to a low hum and not the out-cry it is because lets admit it they are never going to say "we droped the ball with the ending"

give us something to chew on and we will leave you alone (for the most part) so you can work.

Bioware you have the power to turn this from a war to a construcive compromise between devs and players, this does not have to be what it is

Hoping you take this into cosideration

P47 ace, thank you

Ability to admit that you were wrong is one of the greatest virtues.

But that would be too straightforward for Bioware to say.

They aren't going to promise anything until they're completely sure about it. Right now they're probably debating on if they are going to release a new ending DLC at all.

no one including me thinks Bioware will say "we messed up" I just want them to tell us the they are fixing it, so we can stop this unessisaery forum war.

I want the endings changed as mush as anyone, but we don't have to be barbaians about it

If past is prolog, a few months from now Priestly will be saying "We currently have no plans to develop alternate endings." A week later, BioWare will announce the alternate ending DLC pack, complete with screenshots of completed assets, polished video of the extended scenes, and new voice-over work.

Yes, Chris, I still remember the PC release of Mass Effect. I will always remember it.

I would say they are probably still "evaluating their options". I wouldn't expect to hear anything solid till at least April if then. As far as Bioware and EA are concerned they can bide their time, the uproar over the crappy ending will die away eventually.

-I for one would NOT shut up. Because we "shut up" after DA2. We "Shut up" after "Deception" we "shut up" on other occasions.

Im not going to shut up at all. Im going to be just as vocal as I am right now untill I either have bona fide evidence of a DLC revolving around endings or I get tired of being here and leave the forum and bioware behind for good. Which ever comes first.

I'll give them credit for the announcement, and be happy about it, but I won't stop complaining until it's installed in my game.

OR they should just say "we like what've done and we're not changing it".

I think they already have the DLC done to be honest, waiting until the fervor dies completely off wastes the hype/promotional gasoline wave that will fuel the PR fire surrounding their "Citadel Saviour" DLC.

If released or at least revealed in the next week or so (they will be waiting for a couple weeks from release for as many people to complete the game as possible), they will effectively re-install hope to those who are rabid, and reinforce hope to those who are already under the IT wing.

If they don't reveal anything after a month from release, they risk total backfire and a bunch of space magic coming their way, along with Pedobear to take Buzz Aldrin away due to being creepy.

These are smart people we are talking about, so I'm guessing an announcement shouldn't be too far off.. Marauder Shields will be remembered fondly, for trying to warn us of the mind control beam.. ;)

-That would work too. Would at least be both honest and save everyone alot of time.

It will probably carry on till the end of the quarter if sales are going smooth or else they might say something. They would not want to end the year on a bad note.

I agree my distrust of Bioware started with how they handled the DA2 travesty, and I have no plans of shutting up either. If nothing is done, then for me Bioware will lose my dollars in the future.

And you'd probably be making a mistake. Because a talented developer like BioWare is almost certain to come up with some great games in the future.
