I actually agree, but I'm just sayin', I wasn't especially convinced by the other ones either. I mean, I could perhaps understand why Joker had feelings for EDI, but what exactly does she get out of a romantic relationship with him? Absolutely pointless. I'm just glad not all her dialogue was filled with blather about their relationship.

Companionship? Comfort? Trust? It's not like romance has to have sex. I would have been cool with sticking with Garrus and Tali even if it didn't work in the bedroom. It's not like they can have kids, without some deus ex machina bs influence.

You can shape his character differently over dialogue so he either becomes a 'Death Seeker' or 'I'll go help write a book about my race and retire on Kaje.'

In MY playthroughs it's always
FemShep/Liara, MaleShep/Miranda with Tali/Garrus.
Javik is cool and all, but in MY settings he might as well go searching for some Yahg tail instead.

Like she said herself, Liara is, as humans say, taken.

I don't think Javik is really interested in romantic relationships. He would probably be a downer at dates anyway

For me it just simply boiled down to FemShep/Liara has the most level of believable affection between the characters.  The chemistry there was awesome.  Even if I had 100 different choices of characters to romance for my FemShep, it'd always be Liara and noone else.  It. Just. Works.  ^^

That's also a hint Bioware.  Shep/LI's NEED another option for the endings.

That would make sense if it had been a platonic continuation of their ME2 relationship. But it's clearly pointed out that it's a sexual relationship, and that EDI also wants it to be one.

 There's already some dialogue hinting that developing when you talk to Javik in London if you don't romance Liara.

Actually, that can differ. In mine, he said he was looking forward to experiencing this new era of peace, or something similar to that.
