I think part of it is that Liara is overly sensitive and overly friendly. Shepard (whether Shepaloo or Femshep) is her best friend (or more) and is important to her. I don't think it's just flirting, I think it's genuine concern for Shep.
I don't think it's just flirting either. I guess I wasn't very clear in what I meant. It just seems to me like there's a certain romantic vibe in many of their scenes, whether you romanced her or not. But maybe I was just being paranoid after having to negotiate Traynor and Allers' visits to Shep's quarters without accidentally choosing a romantic conversation option and ending up taking a shower with them in my bra!

I already have two fanfics started lol One chapter is up already. Many more are in the works.
I still hold ME2 against Kaidan, because it sucked and he made me cry. But he kind of made up for it in ME3.
Well technically, Liara could have femsheps babies as well. Which is kind of weird, but cool at the same time.
There are a few bits and pieces I would have written differently in Kaidan's romance, so I'll probably be writing fanfic too.
As for Liara, it's not weird for an asari, as I like to think she'd only have the child of a romanced FemShep. It would only be odd if she had your child whether you'd wanted that kind of relationship with her or not, and, as oddly-intimate as I found things between Shepard and Liara at times, I don't think she'd do that. That'd be a step too far and Liara respects Shep too much.

Technically speaking, she's still a teenager in Asari years. And her whole picture of a race came crashing down around her. Granted, she does go a bit too far sometimes, but I don't blame her for it. She spent much of her life researching them only to get a douchenozzle as a representitive of the species lol
Indeed! I'd just like to add how
refreshing it was that Javik wasn't some kind of all-wise philosophical being (as advanced aliens are often stereotyped), and was instead written as a kind of fascist/pragmatist (with some, but not all, of his distasteful views coming as a result of what the protheans suffered).
