Well, she never seems to express a change in feelings. When you cheer her up (after she wanted to kill him) she doesn't say anything about him for the rest of the game. I don't think she likes him. And Javik does tell her her people were the only hope, or whatever, but then when Shepard asks if that was the truth, he says 'I'll tell you what you want to hear', and that it was what Liara 'wanted to hear'. Yeah, I wouldn't say he 'warmed up to her'. Probably more like he just said whatever would make her refocus. Actually, I don't think he even tells her that unless you paragon interupt. So she may be even more pissed, lol.

Javik is probably one of the better written characters bioware has done. I don't really understand him. He does acts of kindness, but not out of kindness, he's straigh forward, almost to a fault, but also deseptive, he screws with people, but I'm not sure it's for fun, he's sarcastic, but I don't think he's aware of it, or at the very least, he's not trying to be funny. Very curious.

And he was cut out as DLC.

It's hard to put into words.  I've never romanced Liara at all, and for my tastes she's always come on a bit strong.  Consider, for instance, in Mass Effect 1...  She asks you if there's something between you and Kaidan, saying that she doesn't want to interfere if there's already something there.  But, when you tell her that there is, she still goes on to ask if you feel attracted to her as well.  That's just one example.  I guess there have been lots of points throughout the game where I felt that the devs wanted me to make the "right" choice and romance the character I was "meant" to romance, not the one I wanted to.  But I can't always put a finger on it.  Sometimes it's just a certain cosy, intimate vibe in their conversations.  It feels like more than the relationship with, for instance, Tali or Ashley ever felt to me.  They were always in the camp of good female friends, whereas it seemed to me as if, while Liara accepts your wishes if you don't want a romance, she still holds a candle for you afterwards.

It's really hard to explain!  Sorry.  I totally get and acknowledge that this wasn't something you felt in your own playthrough; it's just my own experience.

She seemed more than angry at him. Came off like she thought he was a dick even before Thessia.

Everybody thought he was a dick. You don't have to hate a person to think that. DA2 Fenris was a dick, but he's still my favorite character in that game. DAO Sten was a dick, but I eventually came to respect him. Like Drunk Tali's comment about Miranda: "Keelah. She was such a *****. I didn't like her, but I respected her. Sometimes that's better."

Most people I think are dicks, I hate...because they're dicks.
