If you really want to argue that the ending is fine how it is, you shouldn't be using the "artistic vision" defense, you should be using the "it's just a game, and the gameplay was fun" defense.

By framing the narrative choices in the ending as "art" and attempting to use that as a defense of their quality, people are actually hurting BioWare's position, not helping it.  Individuals who actually review literature, who teach writing, or who have degrees in English or creative writing appear to hold an even more consistently negative view of the ending than those who are responding to the poll.  Case in point.
