When people react like they have, like yourself when confronted of the facts of the charity, and inspite of being proven wrong, you still fight it. It's because people are tired. It's like the last battle for earth. We all need to be in on it. Everyone who is against the idea, it hurts our cause. A cause we think everyone would appreciate. See, the thing is, sure people may like these endings, but they are literally all the same one albeit a tiny variation between each. This hurts those who devoted time and money to the series, because they played with the intention of getting a vast amount of variables.
Instead, we got three very specific endings that make our choices meaningless, and even then, it goes against the very fabric of the game itself, as even Shepard can't just say no at the end, or even investigate WHY. Or point out that the Geth and Quarians prove the Catalyst wrong.
