heres the thing i dont give 2 craps on what you do and dont like but dont make this whole forum seem like its just yours and yours alone

the next time one of your guys trolls a thread im taking it out on your group because i tried being nice and civil and you laugh and think its funny you have an oppertunity to redeem your image and yet look at how you respond.

just because the devs arent on dosent mean you can do whatever you want

and to be honest its this very group with a number of nutty posters who  chant hold the line is the reason why the boards adopted new rules and policy and you cant deny that because what does ea or bioware gain from that money wise?

are you that selfish that you have to allow the destruction of a forum community to happen because you feel you and your group's opinion is the only thing that matters?

You obviously miss the point. People say hold the line to show Bioware they are united. It's kind of like a shtick. You don't like it? That's your choice.

People have the right to their opinion. No one is cluttering anything. People are STILL completing the game, and coming to the board after to vent. There were over a million copies sold. Expect a lot more complaints, and if you don't like it, go to another board because this fight isn't over. We aren't alone. We remain civil, but not everyone knows of the movement just yet. Some are still finishing the game.

Even so, we have the majority:

Hold the Line.

It points that the argument about us being a vocal minority of 50 thousand in a universe of over 2 million is a false premise.

Even with a high sigma due to it being a voluntarily answer, with no sorting of samples, 98% still high enough to make an assumption that at least 4 out each 5 players thing that way.

So it's important to spread the idea is that the poll don't point that 50K of 2M are only 2,5% of consumers unsatisfied, but that statistics point that in fact near 90% are, because the poll is not taking the opinion of the 2 million, and receiving only 50K. It's sampling 50K from the 2 million and receiving 98% of negative feedback...

Statiscally if translates as 1.8~1.95M of potential unsatisfied customers. Don't buy the vocal minority crap. There is million of us outside not voicing their thoughts YET.

I wouldn't doubt it. There have been many movements in protests outside the internet, that someone from the police has incited violence to have cause in dispersing the crowd.

I know they want to work PR damage, considering sales are dropping, but I really think this would be solved if they said a little more on the subject of our concerns. If we knew they were working on an ending DLC, there wouldn't be an issue anymore, and really, if anything people would be praising Bioware for listening and taking action.

Yes, we'll see if something changes Monday. I'm not holding my breath. Until then, don't forget to encourage everyone to be civil, especially if they "seem" to agree with the Retake movement.

-Im glad to see that humility is such a prevelant trait with you. However I would disagree. For the abovemention reason for one thing, And oh. Who was going throuhg an "Emo chrisis" again? I mean.. thats not derogatory at all? :D
if i feel like if i have to vent something regarding multiple threads on the same topic than yes i will because me as a poster im annoyed by seeing a full page of one part of a forum cluttered with the same thing
-Grats. So when you imply someone is an "emo" or other implied ad hominems, you accept they can answer back in kind then?
heres the thing i dont give 2 craps on what you do and dont like but dont make this whole forum seem like its just yours and yours alone
-I do not believe I have ever stated such a thing or even implied it... but you are welcome to quote me back where I gave you that impression. Please. Pretty please. Because you wouldnt be puttin words in my mouth now would you?
the next time one of your guys trolls a thread im taking it out on your group because i tried being nice and civil and you laugh and think its funny you have an oppertunity to redeem your image and yet look at how you respond
.
-Oh. Ok. So now you are allowed to employ guilt by association, but we are not? I have responed quite civilly and logically to you. But I have laughed... because you are a hypocrite. And you seemingly do not get it. You hold others to one standard and yourself to another.
and to be honest its this very group with a number of nutty posters who  chant hold the line is the reason why the boards adopted new rules and policy and you cant deny that because what does ea or bioware gain from that money wise?
-"Nutty posters". Like who? I mean... all the posters that "chant hold the line" are nutty then? Youre not at all generalizing again are you? As for the rest of your argumentation, it really makes zero sense at all? Im sure youre eager to elaborate though.
are you that selfish that you have to allow the destruction of a forum community to happen because you feel you and your group's opinion is the only thing that matters?
-I didnt think I was destroying or allowing the destruction of a community? How am I doing that? Im simply voicing my opinion on a messageboard. Im argueing my case to the best of my ability. Does that mean that I and "my groups" opinion is the only thing that matter... ? Well.. no, but to us our opinion is rather important and we are tired of being told we are "Emo" or "entitled" or whatever else people like you have told us we are?

I am amused at you Tazz. Really... I am.

I had no problem with the endings and don't really want them changed. My problem with those that complain about them is that I believe their expectations were based off erroneous impressions of marketing and unrealistic desires. I know the ending could have been a little better, but the sheer vehemence on these forums shocked me after I finished the game. I feel like everyone missed the point entirely.

I'm also miffed by the attitude that the endings render the entire series meaningless. Which doesn't even make sense no matter what way you spin it. Did you not enjoy the journey? How can such a ludicrous stance arise?

The journey doesn't matter because everything we fought for is destroyed in the final scenes. And the indoctrination theory doesn't work, because you get the destroy ending even on the lowest military rating.

im mad because basicly all i ever see on this board is fighting from both sides

and i admit i do take part in a few of them but imofficially burnt out mentally

what really bugs me is something so small like a 5 minute ending can make a gaming community basicly turn into a riot on whos right whos wrong conspiracy theory or no conspiracy theory

No one is afraid of anything. The people upset are people who played through 1 and 2 a number of times, thinking that the outcome would be different for each time they played 3 with those individual saves.

Instead, it all culminates into the same 3 choices with barely any differences in outcomes if at all. That isn't fear. That's people being upset for time and money wasted in an effort to see things from different perspectives.

Useless cause that will yield useless results.

Oh yes, because donating over 60,000 dollars to charity as a constructive way to vent our frustration is totally useless.

I'm glad you liked the endings.

I think marketing propagated the expectations, which is why some more outraged fans have resorted to calling them "lies." I think for the first 97% of the game they hold true, but the last 3% they don't. I don't believe they were lies, because although they are not true, I don't believe it was Casey Hudson's conscious decision to mislead the fans.

Maybe a different way to put it is that the endings destroyed any desire I have to play any of the games again when I know what awaits is a terrible disappointment. Yes, I enjoyed the games at the time, but I can't enjoy them again. That makes me sad.

Thank you for a civil reply. Yes, there certainly are trolls on both sides of the issue. I am starting to report them. Emotions are high enough as it is. No reason for us to get all up in arms.

You do like to needle people, though. ;)

you will need to pm a mod,as report button has a huge delay.

name the person and they can check thier history easily.

and yes..guilty of needling, but also can be easily shut up .
seeing now that your group is being undermined gave me pause.

even though i disagree with the theme,i agree with the right to do it.

but i do love a discussion, even if it gets heated

I'm with you on this. I can't even bring myself to play multiplayer, knowing it doesn't even do much for my score. :(

i agree 1000%

i think people are just afraid of something new wich is normal but to be like this on both sides is just crazy

i admit i was totally against the multiplayer but i have to say i am having alot of fun with it

see i think it isnt just the 3 choices though

i think its more about what happens to joker and crew really because i even question that and im the one who liked the endings

i think what bioware is doing is they left it as a cliff hanger and through dlc you can continue it somehow

alot of people said they wanted closure so maybe thats why alot of people just hated it :shrugs:

another thing is i think everyone ( including myself) expected the same type  of deal from the last 2 games you know what i mean?

heck a poster in the spoiler forums had an awsome idea like the ending shouldnt have been a choice at all but a automatic one base don your decisions from all 3 games i forgot who it was who said it but yeah i like that idea.

just because i found the current endings ok for myself dosent mean im 100% against changing them
