Yes you've all got your more important ending discussions but here is some lighter discussion:
What are some pet peeves you had that had no bearing on how you liked the game?

1) "you humans have a saying...."
why it's a peeve: everytime I hear about an alien who has a wider knowledge of humanity than I have of their species it stands out in a bad way. When samara tells me about justicars or when thane references hemoglobin it translates to the writer telling me what his influences were. Sometimes They make sense in that they allow the player to understand something different by what I am familiar with but it pulls me out of the immersion. It reminds me that a human writer is behind these characters.

2) The dialogue of certain emails
Whenever an email begins with them telling me how they got the email or they are not sure if it reached me it annoys me. They are worded so awkwardly. The krogan shaman in ME2 begins his email by cursing the machine. If I were sending an email I would get right to the point. If I was concerned if it reached the right person I would ask for a reply.
I wouldn't write it in a way to express my character because I am not consciously aware of how I am perceived as a character. only a writer would do this and hence the immersion argument again

3) the awkward neck twisting in ME3
in some cases when I vist and talk to a character their neck twists awkwardly because they don't want ot face me. The discomfort from such an act annoys me and I have to postion myself optimally to relieve them

what are some of yours?
