IGN lives in the pockets of developers. They aren't a review company, they are a PR company for publishers and developers who can afford it.

I've no idea why anyone visits their site.

Careful, guys. I'm sure you've seen the warnings from members of Hold the Line that we need to stay as calm as possible. Let him rant and rave against us, let a thousand like him do the same. But DO NOT GIVE IN to his baiting. We are making an impression on the team, let's not lose it by getting worked up over someone else's opinion.

I'm not a memeber of Hold the Line so I'll freely call him a douche. :P

Seriously, I facepalm everytime I see someone use the same two copout arguments "You're just mad because it wasn't a happy ending" and "They have an artist right!"

The former is a strawman and the latter is a poor justification for the writers completely phoning it in at the ending. That and, when people make comparisons between television shows and video games, it makes the argument even weaker. I've payed around $200 in the long run for the Mass Effect series. I think I am infact entitled to an ending that actually gives closure.

An IGN contributor was in the game, right? Its not that hard to figure out whats going on. I hope people stop visiting theirs and Kotakus sites because of this attitude. Elitists.

IGN holding up their end of the bargain to EA/Bioware for killing Emily Wong on Twitter so that Chobot could grace us with her presence in the cargo hold.

IGn is a terrible media site. No one should ever go there. some of the articles quality is atrocious. I honestly believe they are filled with gamer buddies who hire each other because they get to play games for free.

They have also made articles specifically to mock some of the readers complaints about articles. If you have IGN bookmarked, get rid of it and excercise avoiding them

Isn't that the same guy who's reviews failed to mention the character import issue and sucktacular endings? Aslong as their reviews fail to point out anything negative then their opinion pieces don't mean a damn thing.

Again? Jezz... So done with them.
Wait, doesn't the PR thread warn that a wave of negative press is coming on Monday? We'd better brace ourselves for it.
EDIT: Nvm. Didn't realize it was that vid from days ago. ...I wondered why something would come out on a Sunday.

Negative press from who?

Can only be IGN, Kotaku or Destructoid, that are the only ones getting paid enough to side with them.

Specially Kotaku that launched a campaign to defame the movement in multiple languages.

fixed it:wizard:

Funny how people like this guy demand that it should reasonable to us to accept such a singular ending without mentioning WHY it's fine the way it is. Maybe because it just doesn't sound very sincere?

"I loved that I had a choice of three explosion colours and that my team crash on a planet in every single one. I EXPECTED it and was SO HAPPY when I saw these scenes happen. Honestly it was really satisfying to me"

when in truth they most likely tolerated it or were just OK about it.

HOLD THE LINE!!

That's the most laughable part. Bioware/EA is the part that can redeem themselves. They can retreat and accept our demands and rise from this crisis better than they were before.

IGN, DToid and Kotaku on the other can't. Their attacks will be set on stone and their reputation will be irreversibly hurt.

I know that I'm complaining about Bioware resisting in a tiny detail that ruin a masterpiece. They can change such detail and be heroes. Now Kotaku offended me, accused and distorted my words multiple times. And to end of days (end of their days) I will say to anyone that talk about them "DON'T READ, don't give them pageviews, they are unethical douche with no compromise with the truth".

I saw this a few days ago when this was originally posted.

Maybe he's taken a break from filming self-important rants to realize what the complaints really are about. I heard his twitter account got flooded, and maybe that has motivated him to abandon this gross oversimplification.

I can only hope so.

EDIT: Ugh. Just noticed his twitter picture is the Gadsden flag. Don't try to reason with this guy, it would be a waste of time.

Yeah, this guy's been ripped a new one up and down the internet. Considering they even have one of their own employees in the game seriously compromises his "objectivity" and it's called out a lot.
