Always the "art" argument...unfortunately, what they all forget is...there is a thing called "bad art" and bad art does usually not sell very well...or instill trust in the artist...

Did they just switch camera angles multiple times in some sort of professional documentary manner (with a freaking camera operator at some points) for an opinion video? Also, if it may or may not (probably does though) reflect IGN's view of the controversy, why post it on your channel. He can post it on his channel and that can be the end of it.

So much distortion I had to watch in twice, week ago.

I love the part when he complains how games used to be expensive, forgetting that technology is more available these days.

Again? Jezz... So done with them.

Wait, doesn't the PR thread warn that a wave of negative press is coming on Monday? We'd better brace ourselves for it.

EDIT: Nvm. Didn't realize it was that vid from days ago. ...I wondered why something would come out on a Sunday. :pinched:

Yeah there will be a lot of negative press for a while.  Look I am a bit of a history buff and through out history when an army is about to be defeated 9 times out of 10 they will try some sort of last ditch mega assult on thoese attacking them hoping they will look stronger then they are and the other army will lose hope and give up.  Don't fall for it people if we stick together they will run out of steam.  Bioware thinks they don't need us but the fact is the only change ME3 now has of lasting in Multiplayer and I don't think it can compete with stuff like COD and GOW for the long run.  All we have to to is refuse to retreat and they will run out of gas and have no way to defend themselves against our counter attack.

Hold the line for as long as it takes people.

He's a douche and it's clear he hasn't read any of the arguements on why the ending is bad.

He is just sad because resistance 3 had a bad ending and it was not changed because no one cared, so IGNore him

So, a question has come to my mind.

Let's say BioWare does put out a new ending, free or paid DLC, and say it's everything you could have possibly hoped for. Fixes all the plot holes and gives a satisfying conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy.

You think all these sites who have been poo-pooing our efforts (IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid et al) will acknowledge that the new ending is a lot better than the original, or will they still cling to their "But the integrity of the artist! The terrible precedent it sets!" baloney?

I'm pretty sure he spent more time deciding on his favorite camera angles than he did on coming up with actual arguments.

They'll do whatever EA pays them to do just like they are doing now.

Did he even read/hear anything beyond we don't like the ending. According to this guy, we dislike the ending....and that's it.

it's IGN, to be quite honest, does anyone even listen to video game websites anymore? I have enough of a brain to make up my own mind.

IGN kneejerking? Color me a pyjak.

edit: I've heard that men made of straws do not fight at 100% effectiveness, much like someone trying to play the singleplayer without touching MP.

It's funny how he used someone's sketch video about DLC for ME3 to make people that are against day one DLC look stupid. Someone made a joke and he used it as argument.

What he fails to grasp is that nobody liked the endings because they did not make sense, and were badly written.

An unintelligent rant against loyal and devoted ME fans. We're not "entitled" or "bratty", we are just passionate enough to know ME deserves better. IGN Epic Fail!

Honestly he didn't even have to open his mouth to portray what kind of a person he is. Wonder how much he got to expess his "opinion".

This is the same group that had one of their reporters as a character in the game.

They are honestly the last place in the world we should ever expect an unbiased opinion about this from.

If they were of a reasonable level of integrity, they would admit that they made a mistake. However, this is probably unlikely.

If I had to guess, they'll give a sort of non-committal "Well, we were still pretty much right..." kind of reply. Or just ignore the whole situation altogether. Either way, I firmly believe that they WILL be getting their comeuppance at some point or other. We have the advantage of a logical platform to base our disatissfaction from, and we at least have the ears of some of the devs.

Can only be IGN, Kotaku or Destructoid, that are the only ones getting paid naive enough to side with them.

Specially Kotaku that launched a campaign to defame the movement in multiple languages.

fixed it:wizard:

I don't believe that Bioware is THAT STUPID to pay them, and have such a trail to them. Bioware can promise to give press kits better than than the usual, to give exclusive interviews, and to open a special channel, but I doubt money was on table.

That's why I said Naive. How many ways Bioware/EA have to not deliver such promises to them and still say they kept true to their word? And then to deny any relation with said "sources".

They probably contact WAY MORE people than those 3. Some even started to fall for it, but the fishy smell soon caught them. Only those 3 fell for it, because they probably contacted the weakest link inside.

In case of Kotaku, all links are weak, but at IGN we already saw a partial retreat when they changed that "ME3 have 17 ends" version to "ME3 have 6 ends".

you can't spell "ignorant" without IGN, so "IGNore" is exactly what i'm going to do ;)
