I'm not worried about backing up saved games or characters. I've deleted them anyway.
It's easy to do with Steam...

If you have Windows 7 it is located at your User folder in "My Documents/BioWare/".
Still don't get it why they have chosen to save the multiplayer data locally. Well, maybe it'll be easier this way to "community-patch" the game once EA decides to shut down the servers. Worked well for games like Empire Earth...
