Just something to talk about. What made you pick the Love Interest that you picked? Even the "they were hot" type of answers are fine.

I only watched the complete Garrus romance play out. But I've seen bits and pieces of other romances too. Garrus was the reason I got the game in the first place. I like to draw Aliens and Predators so when I saw Garrus I became curious. Found out it was the same business that made Dragon Age so it couldn't be awful.

But I won't ramble on how Garrus is great. We all kind of know it. Wish he said I love you too to shepard though. The kiss helped at least.

However I will send a shout out to the Talimancers. Yes I like her too. I'm the typical geek girl and I thought the idea of a shy geeky girl getting a jock like shepard was cute. Her body language is fun to watch too when she fiddles around with her hands. I'm sorry her face reveal ended so badly though

I picked Ashley becouse for me is the in the emotional way deepest like Liara, but I prefer Ashley

My first Femshep fell for Garrus as well. Don't know what it is...maybe his honesty? Maybe his sudden unintentional innuendo showing that he is a tad bit shy as well?

i liked Tali in the first game so it was clear to me to pick her in 2 and 3

I chose liara because she seems like a very stable character. And why bother with human relations that you can get in real life?



I also chose a multitude of other aliens on my other playthroughs.

I was hoping for some alien human relationship awkward moments (like
Mordin telling Femshep about human - drell sexual relationships) that
cracked me up.


Unfortunately there wasn't much of that. I was disappointed, but at least it was acceptable, unlike the endings.. lol

I didn't so much pick as got picked if that makes any sense

I went through game 1 without a love interest as My shepherd was too busy SAVING THE UNIVERSE!, but then ME2 came round and Tali was just too adorkable to shoot down, I literally could not bring myself to do it, so that kinda happened and I just ran with it.

I originally chose Kaidan in ME1 because I wanted some sort of romance, and I wasn't about to have one with a female, or an alien, or a female alien. I'll admit, I didn't like him at first, but it only took about an hour of playing to change my mind on that!
And that brings me to where I am now, hopelessly in love with Kaidan.

She seemed like a sister to my Femshep so I agree. She's a very caring character even if she starts out awkward in the first game. Really the only thing that bugged me about Liara was her eyes in the first game. Maybe this is just me. But one of her eyes always looked like someone goofed up on her eyelids. I tend to be nitpicky and anytime the camera was on her I got annoyed. Not at her character though.

I was flirting with both Liara and Kaidan back in ME1, but somehow Kaidan managed to woo me...

Tali, after she became available in ME2.

Neither Ashley, nor Liara was attractive to me. So, in ME1, LIs were just an extra bit, nothing important to me.

Now, I have a lovely plot, where my character falls in love with Ashley, but then sadly has to sacrifice her on Virmire. Cut to a few years later, where Shepard meets Tali, all grown up, and still as gentle and empathetic as before...where she was a good friend on which Shepard could build, while he was trying to deal with the death of Ashley. I like that plot, tying ME 1 and 2 together, and giving my Shep an added layer of sacrifice, but being rewarded for it with Tali.

I chose Ashley my very first playthrough of ME1.

Once I got ME2, I did a new playthrought in ME1 with no romance, and chose Tali as soon as I found out she was a romance option.

Kaidan because he is a thinker and a good soldier. Garrus because he is a loyal friend, a badass, and the sexiest alien ever.

Garrus, because Tali wasn't an option. Also, he makes me laugh. He's a bamf. He's always got my back. His idea of a date is a shooting contest at the top of the Presidium. He's dedicated to his work be they killing bad guys or calibrations. I love dragons. When I first saw a turian they reminded me of bipedal dragons.

Miranda due to her VA being Yvonne Strahovski. Also I liked the idea of my main (paragon) Shepard influencing Miranda to become a better person. =)
As well as other reasons. =P

EDIT: On my first ever playthrough it was Ashley, but I came to dislike her. So she died on Virmire.

I bonded with Tali through the trial mission. I felt her pain. Then her awkward come on to Shepard was sweet innocense, pure and incredibly adorable. She melted my heart.
