Just something to talk about. What made you pick the Love Interest that you picked? Even the "they were hot" type of answers are fine.

I only watched the complete Garrus romance play out. But I've seen bits and pieces of other romances too. Garrus was the reason I got the game in the first place. I like to draw Aliens and Predators so when I saw Garrus I became curious. Found out it was the same business that made Dragon Age so it couldn't be awful.

But I won't ramble on how Garrus is great. We all kind of know it. Wish he said I love you too to shepard though. The kiss helped at least.

However I will send a shout out to the Talimancers. Yes I like her too. I'm the typical geek girl and I thought the idea of a shy geeky girl getting a jock like shepard was cute. Her body language is fun to watch too when she fiddles around with her hands. I'm sorry her face reveal ended so badly though

Because Ashley was such a **tch in ME1 and racist.. so. I went with Liara, and stayed there.

Ashley because she was the first possible LI you encountered, and Liara never really appealed to me in the first Mass effect. Also, Ashley always appeared more.... "human", than the others, as weird as that sounds. Plus, I love girls with black hair and the whole poetry thing was interesting so I chose her.

Liara's character has been fleshed out massively since then, but I still prefer Ash

I remember in ME1 when first met Garrus I thought to myself – Can I romance him instead of Kaidan or Liara? There was just something attractive about turians… But Garrus recruitment mission in ME2 was what really got me in to him as a personality, I guess Joker was right about that stick up his ass. And he was the only one who was ready to put aside his personal problems to help Shepard (Tali was too, but did I have to ask her twice and she wasn’t romance option for femshep). In ME3 his romance was just perfect, loved every minute of it.

Thane also made big impression, from his badass entrance in recruitment mission to his calm, romantic character. I really enjoyed conversations with him; and those big, black eyes…

I also have playthroughs where Shepard romanced Kaidan just because I was curious how it would go. In one she was loyal to him, in other cheated with Garrus – I was really looking forward to dumping Kaidan for him.
I’ve finished ME3 only with first Garrus romance, I just can’t make myself play the game now, it feels like there’s no point.

Well I went with Ashley since from the First game. It was hard to refuse Liara but Ashley fit my image of a strong woman who can handle herself but also can be gentle too.

ME2 was kind of a dissappointment at that regard and lacking ( especially with Liara DLC later on ) but it wasn't that bad ( although again it was quite hard to refuse Tali too )

And in the end...well we get ME3... I just hope if they fix the ending...the romance will pay off in the ending. Sure I enjoyed the romance scene but it is all like '' well we might die tomorrow ! Lets do it now ! '' ...

For my Shep it had to be Ash. Both came from a military background and they felt right as a team when it came to handling the role of humans in a new galactic world. Also I thought her character was down to earth and her comments and biases made sense to me given her background. Lastly, what I liked most is that she had to be tough as a soldier but also there was a feminine side to her as well.

Oh and you get to say the cheesiest line when Shep romances her!

I picked Ashley in ME1 but honestly her personal views didnt jive with me.

In ME2 I picked Miranda especially after Horizon, because she was A) good looking and an emotionally deep character who wasnt ignorant or hard headed.

At first I thought Miranda was a complete ****, but over time I grew to like her more and see her vulnerable side. Plus I enjoyed the idea that she falls in love with the very person she essentially created/brought back to life. So I stuck with Miranda for ME3 especially after Ashley's comments and trust issues confirmed why I didnt like ehr in the first place.

It's just a shame I couldnt get more time with Miranda or even a longer romance scene.

I went for Tali for a lot of reasons. She's geeky, she's funny and she's actually incredibly brave when she needs to be. She had a lot of depth to her and a lot of character development. Plus I guess I liked the mystery, and it seemed like a different kind of choice to the obvious. I thought Liara was the obvious choice, but if I had to pick someone other then Tali for a male Shep to romance it would be her. She grew on me a lot over time (wasn't anything to do with her enhanced assetts in ME3 either). Funnily enough I wasn't that keen on her in ME1 when I actually did romance her. I was very undecided there and kinda romanced both her and Ash, but ended up further ahead in her romance. I felt really bad for splitting up with her, though I don't regret the decision to go with Tali.

I toyed with the idea of romancing other ME2 characters on a different play through, but given their reduced roles in ME3, most of the ME2 options no longer really seem worth it and I probably won't do a play through with a female shepard.

Kaiden, in the First mass effect, I was all new to this game style choices n dialogue, and i will admit i blushed alot in the paramour sequence lol, um but in 2 I was honestly pi.. annoyed at him, I mean getting funny with me for siding with the evil human supremacists who lock alliance generals in rooms with feral Rachni, how could he?!!!?

but Thane, purr. Im not religious person tbh, but i am open minded. and to hear Thane talk about the gods he prays too, was comforting, and one thing Bio ware did right, in Mass Effect in general was dealing with something Alien, Like for example Tali Zorah, she reminded me of a Asian friend from college, i spent hours talking to her about her culture, and religion and media etc etc so i could not only understand her better, but also to learn about something that was alien, unknown to me. and with Tali they hit the nail on the head perfectly. and once again with Thane.

I wanted to romance Samara in ME2 As well, I didn't see it as homosexual as Asari are mono gendered, but at the same time she like Liara are very female. so it kinda feels naughty lol but i could never decided so for my main play through i stayed Faithful to the lovely Major Alenko. as Liara was unavailable and Samara not an option.

though I did a renegade run. where i romanced Liara in the first then Garrus in ME2, havent continued that one in 3 yet.

In Mass effect 3 though they introduced the reaper in disguise Jessica Chobot,  who seemed to have an interest with My shepard that i turned down, as i was playing faithfull to Kaiden but I mean I am happy they opened up the Lesbian and Gay communities in 3, more options, Cortez, Vega and Kaiden for males so i was told, and Allers, Chambers, Liara(technically as she looks femanine) and that new girl who checks your messages. who I might say wouldve been an option but she reminds me of Isabella from DA and well the thought of STDs scared me lol no but fairly she was a great addition so maybe next play through? =)

Ash in one because she was more of an in depth character than liara. Then in 2 moved to tali. Why? Because she had complete faith in you. I got the feeling that there was a chemistry between the two in ME1 but more in the sense of a young woman in awe and adoration of someone else. And why wouldn't she? Hell you save her life, you can help in her pilgramige. When 2 comes along Even though youre in Cerberus clutches, she stands by you regardless of the animosity between the terrorists and the quarians. Yes, she says she can't join you, but she is doing something important for her people. Its only natural they would come first. Ash completely threw me off and didn't know who i was anymore. If she loved me and understood me, she would have known that other forces were in play. So i broke up with her. And Tali, ever reliable Tali. Funny, Clumsy, Fragile, found her way into my heart. and she moved in even deeper in ME3. I don't know what i'd do if tali died on me. Probably cry, sat in front of the telly watching romantic tearjerkers gorging myself stupid on choccies. Keelah selai.
