While I didn't romance her. I did feel really bad for her in Lair of the Shadow Broker. In one of the files explaining she can't have children. That's sad for any woman to go through. Even if one says they don't want kids. Having just the option taken away is sad. I still feel she's a bit "mary sue" in 2. At least she seemed better in 3 for what we saw of her. I didn't see it yet but I read she gets upset if you break up with her.

Miranda cant have babies?  Not sure how I missed that.

Makes me feel better about boning Ash though.  I can pretend she got knocked up and has a baby shep coming.  Cant do that to a chick that can't have babies.  It also beats not having babies with Tali or having to bother talking to crappy Liara.

Okay this is random kind of but awwww you just made me think of Tali adopting a baby quarian since she can't have shepards kids. Cuddling the tiny thing quietly saying a lullaby in her language. I needed that "aww" thank you

Miranda would be my top choice still. Liara and Ashley are gaining.

I love Miranda's intelligence and attitude. Resourceful, ruthless, cunning, etc all packaged into one. She is one of the few characters I see being close to equal with Shepard in all areas.

I was looking forward to having little blue kids, but the ending kinda killed that idea.

Miranda because she brought you back to life which is more than any other squadmate, save for maybe liara, has done for you. Also she is strong and competent but she still had an emotional side and is genuinly in love with your shepard as evidence by breaking up with her in ME3. Have you seen how sad and heartbroken she looks!! Oh yea and Yvonne Strahovski and sexiness.........

Miranda is infertile. She even mentions it to Oriana in ME3, If/When she dies. "I want you to have things i could never have, children etc"

I always just took that as more of a "im too busy saving the galaxy to get knocked up and sit on the couch eating chocolate and icecream all day".

Cool to know though, thanks for that.

You can try making up an ending. It helped me feel better.

I picked Tali for quite a few reasons.

Her personality and voice match quite a few women here in Eastern Europe ( she was designed like this I think ), so that was one aspect of hers that I really liked. It added a sense of realism to her character for me.

Then there is the fact she is cute. I won't lie I always thought she looked like a kangaroo, which I always found cute animals.

Then there is her role in the story. In ME1 I think Shepard was a sort of mentor/fatherly like figure for her, suffice to say I was very much on the meh side when I heard you could romance her in ME2 ( same for Garrus ) but then they did it so well that I just loved it.

Seriously I can't romance anyone else on my male Shepard, and after the conversations in ME3? Isn't going to happen.

Garrus, due to the familiarity and the pretty much unconditional respect he and Shepard seem to have for one another.

And because Brandon Keener's voice makes me melt.

Well, Kaidan was the only straight female option for romance in ME1 and once I talked to him...I just fell in love with him. Quite, righteous, sensitive with lovely voice and I was lost <3

I'm honestly bummed she's a straight character. But it's fun playing the big sister role to her too as a fem shep. So it's not all bad.

I picked Kaidan at first because I didn't realize romancing someone was an option--I'd never played a BioWare game before. The first time he flirted with Shep it caught me completely off guard. XD

But he really grew on me. So much so that I can't even bring myself to import my ME2 save where I romanced Garrus because I don't want to hurt poor Kaidan! XD

Also, that voice helped. A LOT.

Miranda. At first I was ready to write her off as an elitist, but as we talked more, I realized her insecurity, her love for her sister and her strong determination to protect her, and I realized that all that stuff she spouted is just a cover to the real but flawed, emotional, strong-willed woman inside

I picked based on who seemed the most appropriate for the "story" I was creating. I liked how it turned so poignant with romancing Kaiden then having him die, then romancing Thane and seeing him die too.

No new ME3 romance. My Shep had a tragic love life.

Male Shep Paragon romanced Miranda, cause opposites attract I guess.Renegade Male Shep liked bad girls = Jack.

Garrus, because he's a bamf, loyal, and has a sexy voice, but mostly because he made Shepard (and me) laugh. And Shepard needs a little bit of loving and laughter in her life.
I also just liked the evolution of their relationship from comrades, to friends to lovers.

I picked Liara, largely because I just felt more of a connection to her. She's a bit socially clutzy, doesn't really have any strong attachments save to Shepard, and she is extremely strong when she needs to be.

I almost chose Tali, but decided on Liara over her in the end. Without LotSB I might have ended up going with Tali, though.

Miranda
Because of her personality (never found a character that changed so much during ME2)

always trusts you (unlike Ashley Williams which at times I wished I pulled the trigger no offence)

was a very interesting in ME2 and still is in ME3 (constantly tries to help Shepard and her sister)

not perfect even though she was designed to be so.

but from what I have seen Liara is better for experience in ME3 but I am happy with Miranda and do not regret it.

I didn't so much as pick a LI, but rather fell for one.

Tali is
the type of girl I look for in real life and it was very easy to pick
her. I feel her romance feels more natural and nuanced. It is both good
and bad that we cannot start a relationship with her in ME1. It made
getting together in ME2 all the sweeter.

There are going to be plenty of orphans after this war. Adoption is the best way. And if you check my signature; this is something that was explored in one of the old Tali threads after ME2 was released. It is told as a series of mini-fanfics.

Speaking of fan made things. I found a fan-made ME3 ending for Tali, for Liara and for the Reapers.

Just something to talk about. What made you pick the Love Interest that you picked? Even the "they were hot" type of answers are fine.

I only watched the complete Garrus romance play out. But I've seen bits and pieces of other romances too. Garrus was the reason I got the game in the first place. I like to draw Aliens and Predators so when I saw Garrus I became curious. Found out it was the same business that made Dragon Age so it couldn't be awful.

But I won't ramble on how Garrus is great. We all kind of know it. Wish he said I love you too to shepard though. The kiss helped at least.

However I will send a shout out to the Talimancers. Yes I like her too. I'm the typical geek girl and I thought the idea of a shy geeky girl getting a jock like shepard was cute. Her body language is fun to watch too when she fiddles around with her hands. I'm sorry her face reveal ended so badly though :(

I picked Liara because I have always been interested in exotic women.  I guess you could make an argument that Tali is a little more exotic than Liara because Asari do for the most part look human, but I could never get around the idea of every time my Shepherd was intimate wth Tali that she would be sick for a few days.

Ash at first but she seemed closed minded and xenophobic, and eventually I preferred Liara. She didn't give up when Shep died, plus she always believed in Shepard. Smart, resourceful, and honestly it seems I have a tendency for the "bookish" sort IRL as well (my GF's gpa is a full point above mine >:( ).

I saved 3 of my PS3 ME2 FemSheps to import. The first one I chose Thane after Kaidan's harsh words on Horizon. Loved Thane's voice and his whole story, so I thought, "why not?". Of course, in ME3 he dies -the hospital scene and reading his letter afterwards had me in tears. The second time I chose Garrus, again because Kaidan's attitude. Loved Garrus' voice (so sexy!) and his humor. His romance only got better in ME3- loved all the conversations and touching moments. The third time I didn't romance anyone, but stayed faithful to Kaidan. I'm on my 3rd ME3 playthru now, and Kaidan is my LI, but so far it seems to be lacking. Hoping it gets better as the game goes on, otherwise I will be sticking to Garrus! Unless they ever make a DLC where you can romance James Vega, that is!! LOL
