HELL YEAH. Romanced Kaiden in ME1 as he was the only option it seemed for me, even though he is a total wet blanket.Aramina wrote...

Garrus for the win.
Both him and Shepard are vulnerable people who need to keep a brave face on. Shepard can't just tell a friend what she's going through because it's just difficult for others to understand her burden. Same case for Garrus in ME2, having been betrayed by that one dude and having to carry the burden of his teammates' deaths. They can rely on each other to share their baggage. They have been through enough together to know what the other one is going through. Their relationship progress is the most organic in my opinion.
^ This for me. My Shep never felt like she could really open up to anyone else on the team about her own pain, because she was more or less their adoptive momGarrus to me was the only other natural "leader" of the group, so of course he'd know what it's like to have to keep a brave face on.
Plus, I'm sick of broken puppies as the male LI in games. Garrus is a total bad*** and can take care of himself
In ME2 I was onto Garrus straight away, and Kaiden a blip in the rearview mirror.
Garrus is tough, honest, loyal, but also sweet, looks out for the little guy, always has time for you, and is just the perfect combination of best friend and lover. He is written so unbelievably well, and in addition to that he has a damn sexy voice.
In ME3 everything seemed so natural, nothing was forced, and it was heartbreaking watching my Shep and Garrus say goodbye to each other, you could really feel every emotion.

She becomes comfortable with you in ME3 and most of her awkwardness turns into faithfulness. Tali supports you when you (Shepard) needs her the most (although I think Shepard is rather dismissive about it and is certainly not how I would have reacted).
Plus, she's got dat accent, and dem curves and that whole mystery thing going on (what she actually looks like).

After looking around there was only one fem that actually stuck by my Shep and continued to stick by him for the rest of the series ... Tali.
The fact that she had the "adoring nerd" thing going on seemed cute also so I didn't complain.

Note: I have at least one romance with each of the potential female LIs and would have loved to see their content too so I'm not just solely a Tali person.

Plus I like her personality evolution. I don't understand why people call her racist. Her past gives her the right to **** as much as she wants. And she's actually not racist but more of hard time trusting other species. + I enjoy her poems quotes.
Her entire personality almost defines what we humans are.

If the ending we have is the ending we're stuck with, my Shepard will survive at all costs. He made a promise to Liara and nothing will stop him from seeing it through. He will find wherever the Normandy went down even if it is the last thing he ever does. She never gave up on him and he will do the same for her.Grasich wrote...

Ashley is... driven but also emotional and *****y. Liara in ME1 was ridiculously annoying. Both Ashley and Liara did lighten up a bit in ME2 and beyond, IMHO, but I still wasn't a fan. My first meeting with Ashley in ME2 really made me dislike her more and I was uninterested in dealing with her any more than normal from then on. I supported her in ME3 but that was only because it benefited me and accomplishing my goals. She was a friend but I had zero romantic interest.
Jack while in some ways interesting was also something I never went with because Jack was "damaged goods". That can't be denied. I did get my relationship with Jack to the point of my being able to romance her but I didn't ever seal the deal. I was supremely happy to see that in ME3 Jack was a much more mellowed out individual and not the angry rebel I dealt with in ME2. Then again, I also spent time talking to her and putting up with her anger and just being nice.
Miranda was interesting in numerous ways. Actually, personality-wise I preferred Miranda to Ashley or Liara but even Miranda had her own baggage and I took my friendship with her right up to being able to "be with her" but didn't do it.
Kelly Chambers was nice. It was too obviously, unfortunately, that a relationship with her was not something big like the other main characters, however. I prefered Samantha Traynor to Kelly Chambers, personally. Unlike Kelly, however, Samatha wasn't interested in a male Shepard other than hanging out, joking, and playing a game of chess. That's cool, however. I just liked her character more than Kelly even if I couldn't romance her.
Basically, my loyalty/friendship with every female character has gone to the point where I could have had a romance if the game allowed. In ME1 I picked Ashley to romance simply because Tali wasn't an option. From ME2 onward I stuck with Tali as my romance. At the end of the day I honestly see Tali as adorable and almost innocent. She doesn't have an agenda like many of the other characters. We do end up seeing what Tali looks like and I wasn't unhappy but I was surprised. I didn't expect BioWare to go in the direction they did.
I'm probably forgetting someone but right now I can't think of any more. I never romanced any male characters because that's just not me but I got their loyalty as far as friendship went and I had zero problems with any male characters being interested in the same gender and the same goes for female characters who were only interested in the same gender.

Tali was always my favourite character in Mass Effect series - I picked her in 2 and 3 because she is so cute, sensitive and adorable. Also I find a romance between a space commando and a girl that is unavailable to him physically because of the suit, extremely romantic. I was disappointed that one could not romance her in ME1.
Same. she's just the kind of girl I would possibly fall for in real life. (except the alien part off course)

Liara is probably the most interest romance story overall though, since it continues through all the games.

Liara make me want to protect her in the fist game. Lair of the shadow broker show me how far she will go or how much sheis sacrifying for me..but under all that she rest the same.Withher need to prove herself, haunted by his mother, defintly more human than all the other NPC.
and I thought nothing can separate us until the end. And i was wrong

After Horizon, though, she turned to her best friend, Garrus, and ended up falling head over heels for him. Garrus was always loyal, trusted Shepard no matter what, a great team member in combat, and unexpectedly very cute and awkward.
My feelings on the whole matter? I thought everyone in ME 1 was pretty boring with the exception of Garrus and Tali, who I decided became Shepard's best friends. I started romances with both Kaidan and Liara since BioWare's romances were always enjoyable for me and ultimately chose Kaidan since I had fond memories of romancing Carth and figured he would improve later on in the romance. Not for me. ME 1 is the only BioWare game in which I finally completed a romance solely for the achievement.
When Garrus became available in ME 2, I had to romance him. He was always awesome and I really enjoyed the idea of best friends falling in love. That's generally how my real-life relationships work out.
