I haven't been able to test this out properly, looking for feedback.

If you give a +10 nature damage ring to someone...how does that translate to that character's damage?  Do they have to do nature damage first and then it adds on to that damage, or does it just tack damage on to any character's damage output?

In most of my playthroughs I would only give a ring like that to a mage with a staff that did nature damage autozap or cast nature damage spells.  And make sure I had two sets of staves or two sets of gear in case you hit a creature that's immune.

Do they work like runes?  Just tacking on that damage at the end, to any character?

If you load up a warrior with a + damage spell ring, will that increase their damage output, or is that wasted jewelry?

I know you can add a +damage rune onto a weapon for a melee, but do the rings and items work out to the same thing?

Well, with iced weapons you see a blue +number after the white damage values. SO it's tacked on I guess.

Okay. I'll load up a few iced bands and give it a try. I've usually gone for +str or +con, but if it adds a significant amount of damage, might be worth getting everybody a set.

If it is +10 it's stacked. If it is "+10% nature" it will increase nature damage by 10% if that char already is doing nature damage, else none effect.

with two hailstones on oghren and frost weapons up, his 2h hits mostly in the area of 38-43 damage for me with the forge master maul at level 12. each hit having a blue +6 under it. unequipping the hailstones changed the +6 to a +5. I highly doubt it changed the physical damage, only the frost addon

Yeah, +% elemental damage is pretty much for mages.

Okay, thanks. That was my assumption, occurred to me I hadn't really tested it out fully.
