I decided to test my level, now that it looks like a bit more like an unfinished level than a random scattering of models. I did all the exporting stuff and whilst/after trying it out in-game, I realised that some of the models weren't actually showing up outside of the level editor.

Anyone else had these issues? Any idea what the problem could be?

Models have a true/false property called "Export to Game" that lets you prevent them from exporting when you export the level. I've seen it used i our layouts to allow level editors to scatter some human models around to give them a sense of scale while they work.

Also, models that are in the "scratch space" section of the level's list of contents won't export. Level editors here like to use the scratch space to store a pile of common level parts they want to use, so they can see what they look like at a glance, and copy and paste them from the scratch space into the level proper.

Not sure why else they wouldn't be appearing at all. What were the names of the models that didn't show up?

Oh, and were you in the single player module when you exported? It's most obvious with levels containing water planes, but the toolset doesn't properly handle exporting levels to modules other than single player and it could be having weird effects like this. Unfortunately we won't be able to fix that bug in the upcoming toolset update, probably the one after that though. See the "How to make water planes appear in-game" sticky thread at the top of this forum.
