I u already have a 200% cool down rate from load out, Rosenkov power recharge returns become rather minuscule.

Anything you feel like. I run Collector Armor, for I am Bug Man.

If you prefer using Firearms over your powers (Nova mainly), Spec for Weapons Damage, Recharge, or Shield Cap/Regen. If you prefer spamming Nova or Pull+Shockwave/BC, then spec for Recharge/Power.

I haven't been dissapointed in any of the ME 2 DLC suits in this game, they all work admirably.

I personally go with my reckoner knight armor, but the Terminus armor would be a good alternative if you don't have it.

But i like the charge>shotgun>punch playstyle when im playing a vanguard, and I don't like Nova and won't use it. Too cheesy, not fun.

Its probably quite a stupid query,
Around and about Citadel you hear people (a salarian and asari)
talk about a new expensive armor.....something like Vorhtex
I have looked for this.Just a ruse?
Not much choice really, not sure the cost of collector or terminus is worth it, over upgrades to NZ7

No such armor in the game. It is just a conversation between two NPCs (non-playable characters).

All non-customizable armor have a total of +60% bonuses applied to different stats. N7 armor gives you only +50% applied to different stats.

For example, the Inferno Armor set gives you +30% Power Damage and +30% Power Cooldown.  The most you can get with N7 armor pieces are +30/+20 or +25/+25.

Collector Armor will give you +20% Shield Regeneration rate sooner than you can get it with N7 armor. You can get the Capacitor Chest piece (+10%) on Mars, but you cannot get the helmet until later in the game (Geth Dreadnaught I think).

Collector Armor and Inferno Armor may be the only non-customizable armor sets worth getting. The bonuses are too small otherwise and I would consider N7 armor better otherwise.

This game is massive, just so much to learn, So do you spend a lot on upgrades generally or save it.
As for the armor. I knew I was wasting my time looking !
I am improving on my number of times killed , and all the controlls, but the music gets you going,a tad frantic even. That's my experience.

I only spend credits on weapons/armor that I (Shepard) plan on using. For example, if I will be using shotguns, I will spend credits to upgrade the shotgun(s) I use, and on any shotgun mods I want to use. After that, I just let the credits pile up because I do not need to spend it on anything else other than the odd armor piece.

If you plan on buying any of the Spectre terminal weapons (Wraith, Black Widow, or Paladin), then you will want to save your credits very early until you can afford them since they cost a lot. You need to complete about 3-4 missions to afford the Paladin and another 1-2 missions to afford the Black Widow or Wraith. That also assumes that you scanned the entire galaxy for the extra credits as well.

I do not bother to spend money on mods or weapons that my squadmates use. I only bother to equip them with weapons and mods that I pick up on missions. I use my squadmates for their powers, not their (lack of) weapon proficiency.

Thanks RedCaesar97,
I have been upgrading weapons and mods that 'we' use. at least to lvl5 ,but I received a message that this could be doubled.
I did buy the Paladin pistol but I'd say that the difference in cost is not worth the purchase.
I use sniper and pistol a lot, Indra or viper and the blood pack pistol works just fine.
Guess it varies with the mission and hindsight.

The Paladin is worth the money if it is your first major purchase... but if you have played the game far enough to get the Carnifex it isn't anymore.

Black Widow is practically the only Spectre weapon that is always worth the money (early to late game), although debatably less so if you have the Valiant.

The Indra is fairly effective with Incendiary Explosive Burst ammo on it... Viper is sort of medicore in SP, although it is ok on Soldier.

Regarding spending money, if it is an "important" mod I tend to buy it. So now SMG HV Barrels, maybe the Heat Sink, Smart Chokes, and AR Piercing. SR Piercing is important depending on the rifle.

I just finished insanity and got my 2 achivements for it(insanity and unwavering). I used Nova and Charge through most of it. Just had to charge in and use nova #1 while targeting my next charge and after using nova #2 I would charge the next target. Worked pretty good for me.

As for armor I didn't look for stats. I just chose what I thought looked good which was the Armax set. Looking at the other armor set Inferno probably would have been a better choice, but it goes to show you that you don't always have to worry about stats.

But I am not stupid. I did set up my powers for power damage and recharge speed. And I did it in a straight run through, no upgrades from Liara or Glyth.

Weapons use were Geth smg and Paladin pistol and occasionaly the Scorpion. But in the long run I hardly used them.
