Spamming doesn't really make the people who want the endings changed look any better than the "SHUT UP, THEY WERE GREAT" crowd.

I only posted it as a funny response... I had no idea everyone would copy it. O.o

Let's see. A new character shows up and suddenly offers you three nonsensical choices that all lead to the same ending, but with different colored explosions... Yeah, it was that bad.

the star child gave me three options to handle the ending of this game

1) Accept it as Art
2) Forget about it and just think about the journey
3) Make up your own ending

I said screw that and wanted to voice my concerns about this game so that it might not be ruined for others.

The ending was terrible by any standards. This sums it up rather well: http://calitreview.com/24673

There are several glaring grammatical errors in that review. It doesn't read objectively at all, either. It's more like a guy that writes for that website happens to be a fan of Mass Effect, and decided to air his grievances under the guise of writing a review.

Yes because nobody can have a different opinion on the ending

Did I say that? No, the problem HERE is that he's discounting the opinions of others by implying they're being dishonest or blowing things out of proportion.

Nah, that's not what I'm meaning to say. What I'm meaning to say is that, yeh, the ending is disappointing to A LOT of people. But that doesnt take away from the fact that the Mass Effect series as a whole is brilliant. It doesn't change the fact that ME1 and 2 are brilliant as is 99% of 3.

the thing is that the ending nullifies every single thing you did in 1,2, and 3

keep wrex alive in ME1? space magic!
don't blow up the collector base? space magic!
save the council? space magic!
get the geth and quarians to make peace? pick a color!

Thanks for your opinion. I don't happen to share it. I will continue to ask for a product that meets my expectations.

You want me to be completely honest ? I really don't wanna be banned here because the amount of explicit language used if i wrote what i honestly feel about the ending of ME3 would be incredibly high.

The ending's not that bad, really. It wasn't quite what any of us expected but was it that bad? Does it actually change your view of Mass Effect or Bioware? Problem is, no matter what the ending is, people will complain. We all had our different ideas about how the trilogy would end and this is the way Bioware chose to end it. And remember they're the ones who created this amazing franchise in the first place. They can end it how they want. And at least they chose to end it memorably!

When it comes down to it, Mass Effect is about the characters and events you experience throughout the story. It's the journey, not the destination that matters. And no one here can deny that the trilogy of Mass Effect is one of the greatest gaming experiences in recent years. In decades, even.

Bioware, you gave us an amazing gaming series! You end it however you want! :D

Yes it is that bad. For many reasons.

Let's be honest, you don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you and all the others make a club? Call it 'We love crappy endings' or something.

It's out of the left field, it lacks variety, it's disconnected from the prior events and your choices, it has nothing to do with the war assets we've been collecting for the rest of the game, it undermines everything we've done up until this point and it doesn't answer any questions important to the player. It leaves the galaxy in worse shape than it would be if we didn't do anything and it quite possibly costs us the lives of all our allies, stranded around the earth depleted of resources. It's got nothing to do with the mood of the rest of the series and it kills most of the replay value by railroading a make-your-own-adventure game into a fixed spot when we were promised the exact opposite. I would say it actually is that bad.

All the people in the 'not happy about the endings' boat are banging on about how bioware isn't listening or taking them seriously. Yet when someone comes along and says that they like the endings, these same people are hijacking threads with memes and insults, and 9/10 times not even debating the threads original post.

There are a lot of band wagon riding hypocrites on these forums - I get it, your not happy - but there is no need to try and ruin things for those of us who where happy with the way things turned out.

I did not think this would get many responses. It seems I was wrong. Anyway, I'm not trying to speak for everyone or anything. I'm just trying to say that while many (and by many, I mean pretty much everyone) people hate the ending, some people don't and it doesn't change my view of the Mass Effect trilogy. I mean, my goal after Mass Effect 1 was to destroy the Reapers and that's exactly what I did, assuming it was a real ending and not some dream/indoctrination, etc. So, in my opinion, everything worked out, albeit in a slightly different way than I thought it would.
