pet peeve:

I hate it when people use this image to represent genuine appreciation. It's pretty clear from the expression on Charles Foster Kane's face that that isn't why he's clapping.

He's actually forcing himself to appaud his wife's terrible singing performace, as he has too much ego invested in her success to back down.

This video pretty much explains why people really hate the endings...
...
And the part with the starchild (HATE HIM) and the Geth. *claps*

Hmm, that video neatly encapsulates my opinion on the ME3 endings.

Also, the references to Deus Ex and Zero Punctuation remind me that Deus Ex - Human Revolution had a very similar setup as the ending sequence, including the construct that Yathzee nicknamed the Endingtron 3000, which had four BUTTONS for different endings (read: SAME ENDING with a slightly different VO narration in the closing cinematic).

I recommend everyone watch the review here: http://www.escapistm...uman-Revolution

I think Yathzee's notes on that game's ending are VERY appropriate here.

Point made moot by other posters edit :) All Good All Good. Some new content to avoid pointlessness of this post:

But yeah, even if you don't like Angry Joe normally, watch it. He is less Angry in this video and sums up most of our issues quite nicely.

Guys, something happened at Bioware. Perhaps, the devs were rushed by EA or maybe some stupid suit made them change the ending to the piece of crap we got. It is simply too mind boggling to believe that a company as talented as Bioware would put this out. I mean 99 percent of the game is pure genius. How can a genius turn to stupidity so rapidly???? Its like Einstein creating the theory of relativity and then failing math in school. Oh, wait he did.Joke. Anyway, something is diffidently up at Bioware!

Just showed my roommate this video. He agrees as well even though we both think the Destroy "Good" end is the least bad but still exceptionally flawed for the reasons stated in the video.

Oh lord, Angry Joe?

I never thought of that wannabe of a reviewer as an asset.

I find it amazing that he looks calm for the majority of the video. Way to make a point, break out of character and say it bluntly, the endings suck.

10 points we've already seen, thought of and agreed upon. I was kinda hoping that he would bring something new and personal to the table, but oh well. I guess it's good to list those things as they are huge problems.

Also, I'm kinda starting to dislike the idea of the the DLC ending and not because I wouldn't hate the ending entirely. I hate it so much. But because I feel that this DLC wasn't their actual plan. They really did want to end ME 3 the way it did and even though they would go and release the truth DLC, it would because of the fan feedback... And I'm not sure if I'm ready to buy the DLC because then I would actually be paying 10 euros (15? who knows) to get an ENDING to a game I've already bought. Even though it might be as good as it can be, I doubt I can support this kinda of practice with my money. I might still be annoyed by this after 2 weeks, but when they release the DLC (2-3 months?) I'm quite sure I'm over the entire game. My attention span can stretch only so far.

I'm just saying, with the crap he's pulled, I wouldn't consider his support as a good thing.

Still, the video is a good departure from his other reviews. I was glad he just stuck to the facts instead of trying to shoehorn bad jokes in there.

I also enjoyed the part where he compared Starchild's logic to the Geth/Quarian War.

I liked the allusion he did that the end would have been better if Shepard rejected the Star Child's logic and watched the fleets fight the final battle a la Palpatine's attempted corruption of Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Shepard is just... soo... compliant in that whole scene.
