he sounded tired for one, and distressed in the video...
Over all a great vid, and more reason to hold the line and fight for a new ending.

It's hilarious to me that reviewers not dependent on publisher/developer advertising are consistently tearing apart the ending.
For better or worse, welcome to Capitalism

I really feel a lot of people that liked the ending hadn't put in the amount of attention and effort as some of us did. They see the endings and don't feel the same "but that goes against my Shepard's actions" "that's not what we told Saren" "but Javik/EDI/etc just said..."
It destroys lore, it cheapens any choice previously made. and it just makes no sense.

I mean, sh*t, this isn't a piece of avant-garde cinema. Or a literary sci-fi novel by M. John Harrison. It's a space opera. A romance saga. This isn't high art.
There's been a total misjudgement of who plays these games & what they desire.

The Citadel, the biggest mass relay in the Galaxy, survives in Control. He makes it a point to state that it sucks that all the Relays get destroyed in all the endings.
Well how about he explains THIS then. This is in control.
The relays are not destroyed because they're mass relays, but because the relay network is the target of the Crucible pulse (on this basis I believe the Omega-4 relay will be preserved, provided the other relay in the system doesn't rupture it). Therefore the Citadel is unharmed when it doesn't transmit the pulse.
Quite why the Citadel doesn't need to send a pulse in control when it spreads through the relay network anyway is.... a plothole.
It's possible they were just THAT damn lazy that they DON'T intend the relays to be destroyed in Control, but still used the same CG of them breaking apart, only omitting the explosion. I'm not sure what's worse.
Either way, they don't tell us.
The Angry One: Why would anyone pick that ending is beyond me really. That there will be peace? Really.
I mean you just gave the Reapers free will in all their actions. Congratulations to the people who picked that I guess.
It's just really baffling that this revoltingly stupid ending is considered the "best" by BioWare, or perhaps second "best" after destroy/Shepard breathes, given that you actually have to work to get this ending (and this ending is NOT what I thought I was gathering war assets for!).

Joe said what most of us have been saying. Brilliant game, some minor flaws. And that ending.
Also his view on that there should be a more hardcore RPG space opera I agree with completely.
^this, that's why ME1 is the best IMHO

The Citadel is more than a mass relay and all other mass relays are still destroyed. The network of relays is not preserved in any ending. He also incorrectly states Shep lives if you have high enough EMS, not noting that it's only true for the destroy ending but I don't think either minor inaccuracy has any bearing on his main points.Costin_Razvan wrote...

It's a top 10 of the things he hated about the endings. A top 10, by its very nature, implies the list will not be entirely comprehensive. I'm not sure what the problem is?Costin_Razvan wrote...
He ignores one ending that is very important, and yes he DOES do it for the money, like every video he does.

I would understand if the mid-game of Mass Effect 3 was not of the higfhest quality, but the conclusion of the series ?? So far final missions were a trademark of a Mass Effect Series, and the end of Mass Effect 3 ooks like it was done in 2 weeks, insead of 2 years. I think they should work on this from the very start to deliver the most intense and rewarding experience in the series for thouse final moments, and then give us some fan-service epilogue for us to be able to say farewell to all characters we came to Love !!
